Archery Conjuration Build

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:32 am

So i mostly play fallout and picked up skyrim for christmas after playing a one handed imperial i had the idea of a conjuration archer. The problem is i am a complete TES noob and whould have little knowledge of how to do this and could really use some help.

Im thinking of either going breton or Wood elf and should i use the summoned bows or can i enchant arrows witha normal bow should i use summon creatures or would they stop me being stealthy.

Also im not sure of what skills to focus on i was thinking

Conjuration
Archery
Illusion Crowd Control?
Enchanting
Sneak

So any help with this build would be much appreciated
sorry for any typos

Archery conjuration is definitely doable, and bound bow is one of the best bows in the game. Daedric damage with weightless draw time making it the fastest bow in the game.

How does that compare with a legendary daedric bow?

According to UESP page on Conjuration
Bound Bow's damage without Mystic Binding has the bow's damage between Ebony and Daedric and arrow damage equivalent to a Daedric (unconfirmed), and with Mystic Binding the bow's damage is equivalent to a Daedric (Exquisite) and arrows equivalent to Daedric.

You can't enchant arrows, but you can enchant a bow.

Note: I started a conjurer mage two weeks ago. She's now level 31 and conjurs a Draema Lord (sp??). This guy wields a 2H sword and is awesome.

Right now, she only uses a little fire spell if needed, but being a "pure" conjurer, I prefer to stand off to the side and let my conjured beings and my follower (Lydia) do all the fighting. Also, by not getting involved directly in the fight, I can heal Lydia as soon as she goes down on one knee.

Good luck.

You will have to build up your conjuration before you get access to bound bow. I would recommend finding/buying/enchanting a bow until you get your conjuration up. I think you would be alright if you summoned something after your first sneak attack with the bow. Not sure how well the summons work with sneaking, but if you find you are being targeted too much you can try summoning before you attack. Just have to try and do it around a corner or something so you don't alert your foe and still get the sneak attack bonus.

Bound sword is nice and you can get it right away so if you get into melee you can use it. Helps get your conjuration skill up too.

Since you are basically taking skills from all three groups I strongly suggest that you get the Lover stone blessing as soon as possible. This will give you a 15% XP rate increase to all you skills and not just those under mange, warrior or thief which will help to keep your levelling more balanced. The Lover stone can be found North of Markath, not far from Karthwasten.
