Are Human companions effected by radiation?

I don't think so. I've had him in some pretty bad spots, and never had any issues, and he never made comments on it. (like when his health is really low)

dont think so. ive let them sit in radioactive water while i explored around vault 34 and i even waited for a bit and they are still kicking ass.

All companions are immune to radiation.
I rememver my FO3 companions being effected by it, and doing the "get-up-and-die" dance over and over again untill I healed them enough to move away from the radiation.
In FOV I can leave them in the REPCONN Test site for days and when I go back for them they are just dandy.
It might be different on Hard:hardcoe mode though, I do not know because i have not gone back for my 2nd playthrough yet.

lol i have always wondered that. It seems like when i was almost dieing from radiation he is running around like there is nothing wrong?

Even in hardcoe they are immune. At least I've never seen them get sick.
