Hey all , basically im bored of vanilla skyrims constant freezing and bugging  and want mods so im going PC but i wanted to make sure all my specs were fine before I spent anything , I checked a site and it said this

Skyrim Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP (32 or 64 bit)

CPU: dual core 2GHz

RAM: 2GB

HDD: 6GB hard disk space

GFX: DX9c video card with 512MB RAM

OTHER: Internet Access for Steam activation

Skyrim Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP (32 or 64 bit)

CPU: quad-core Intel/AMD

RAM: 4GB

HDD: 6GB hard disk space

GFX RAM: DX9 video card with 1 GB

GFX: GTX 260/Radeon 4890 or higher

Audio: DX compatible sound card

I have all the min requirements
  • Vista
  • Intel® Core ™2 cpu 6420 @ 2.13GHz
  • 2GB RAM
  • More than enough disk space
  • Radeon x1600 Series , approx total memory : 1278 MB
  • Steam access
So can anyone tell me if the quoted specs were right and if my ones will run skyrim and if so how smoothly , anyone else have similar specs and have no problems ? :thanks:

You will be able to play, but with low graphics settings and it will lag from time to time.
It is also likely that you will encounter problems with high res texture mods and some armour mods (armours showing up as black textures due to not enough vram) etc. I have similar specs and while I enjoy playing the game, it looks quite a bit worse than it does on my boyfriend's 360.
