I'm trying to use the Oghma Infinium glitch. Are there any bookshelves that can be accessed without first buying a home?

I believe this was patched out.

As for Bookcases, only in player's homes have I seen them. At least ones I can activate. The only shelves I have seen books on, like the bookshelves at home, is the library at the college.

Still works on the latest 1.5... PS3 release. I just used it recently to level up from 50's to 81.

I think theres a bookshelf in dragons reach you can use? Im not sure though.

You can pickpocket the backdoor key to the solitude (think its solitude) home from the town fletcher. Giving you access to the house without buying it.

It's how I got my Beneziah stone before questing there.

And yes glitch still works in 1.6, but you have to do it slightly different then you used to do it.
