More body shapes would be nice. I don't see why there aren't sliders for parts of the body, instead they focused on facial shape customization when you see your face least of all.

I want a wobbly fat drunk imperial, and cooking should have a perk tree. My guy would make the best venison pie in all of Nirn.

Bodys are fine... I wish they had more options for other parts tho, like nose and mouth width...

There can never be enough customization choices.

Some small control over height would have been nice, but it's lack is hardly game breaking.

Age and fatness slider!

Changing complexion seems to make you look older, so there's your age slider. =3

I find it tricky to get the body shape I like sometimes in character creation. They look fine during character creation then when I get into the gameworld they look wrong;
Male characters always seem to either be too thin or too muscular and female characters tend to be either totally shapeless or big shouldered.
Also I've managed to find a point on the sliding scale for a Nord that is right but (I don't know if this is my imagination) other races seem to have a different shape on teh scale to other races, for example a female Redgaurd, middle of scale, will look more shapless than a female Breton on the same place on the body shape scale.
I wish there was a point before you leave the tutorial dungeon where you can change your character appearance.

I'd have loved a lot more customisation. I think it might just be me but it felt like Oblivion had a little more. I felt somewhat limited in what I could do to the presets. Then again, the character creation screen didn't have the same problem with the lighting as Oblivion's did. God, that frustrated me.

Agreed.

Actually, the bridge of the noses "stretch" horizontially, depending on how wide the eyes are.

Weird design choice.

It doesn't help that whoever designed the Nord eyes made most of them crosseyed... like the pupils are slightly off. So if you want to compensate and find an ideal width to offset, then the nose just gets in fatter as well in the process. As if Nord noses were'nt already piggish enough.

edit: I'm on xbox though. Maybe it doesn't look bad on PC. Looks like [censored] to me though.

It's the same on PC unless you use mods.

I want a fat drunken alcoholic character.

You need drinking animations and black outs for that...

??i know this is technically a discussion about body types, and i agree that more customization would of been good, but does anyone have trouble distinguishing each eye colour? i play Argonian and i have to do a lucky dip to find a decent eye colour, but then i do have a stupidly small TV :P

I'll post a thread from another website that a good sir posted that listed all eye colors and x amount of clicks to get there.

I have a 40" tv and still get up close. And then when Helgen keep, I make my character face a wall and get an even closer view. lol

Black-outs are a great idea. The game has one instance of this, but this would be an awesome radiant quest option. Cheers!

Any type of drunken effect would be a plus, when I first started playing I was very disappointed to fin out I couldn't get drunk no matter how much mead I drank.

I'm only a bit annoyed to see so many customization options for the face but almost none for the rest of the body.

In fact, it'd make more sense logically if my character's ass had more customization options than her face because that's what I'll be watching 90% of the time in third person.

Yes, I'm still drooling over the character creator in Saints Row: The Third.

Agreed here. It always bothers me how you cannot choose a height which affects 1st person views not just 3rd person look. And even though the face customisation looks a lot, it`s actually somewhat limited. But the body thickness thing is a step forward in Skyrim.

I want a fat drunken alcoholic character.

I created one.

I intended to make a big beefy rugged looking nord, but instead I ended up with a guy that looks like a boozed out, beer bellied neanderthal. He's so ugly, and his face is so covered in pock marks that I have trouble looking at him. I slid the scar slider right to the end, but instead of scars I ended up with face craters and pimples.

If you are on PC, there's a couple of good 'inebriation' and substance abuse mods out there.
