Are we truly alive?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 1:40 pm

When you die your brain remains active for 7 minutes, and dreams are generally long. What if, What if mind you we are just remembering everything that happened in life, every tear, every feeling of those butterflies of love, every smile is just a memory? Also do you recall those times when you hear your voice calling your name?
what if its someone crying for you being dead! So if this is true, we should not fear about our future but embrace it because its already happened, do not be afraid of the future my friends. Open your arms and cry out "I AM READY FOR YOU" because if we are truly already dead, we have more time to live!
Carpe Diem
Do you guys have any deep inspirational messages?

I can't even begin to decipher your post, so I'll leave it at that.

We all have those moments when it's late at night and you just get in that mood where you feel profound.

Most of us, however, have the good sense to not attempt to share our out-of-context, nonsensical thoughts with other people, least of all a video game forum. And even those who do, most attempt to format their thoughts in a way that make sense and isn't too profound.

SilverEagle took a different approach, it seems.

People say that you have to die, but i'm telling you that you don't have to go.

No? Hearing voices isn't usually a good sign, Silver. :ermm:

Sounds to me like you're grasping at straws to be honest. Even if you were right and life is but a dream, you still have to be alive to dream. Death is nothing. Emptiness. Oblivion. If you were dead you wouldn't even be capable of making your argument and these philosophical questions would be meaningless. Because you'd be dead.

That's happened when I'm half asleep. Had some odd experiences when commuting when I've kind of dozed off but still had my eyes open. I think the hint was to spend less time commuting and more time sleeping!

I've honestly never heard voices, no matter what state I was in. I have thought I heard my name called in a crowd before, but even that's rare because of how uncommon my name is.

In other words, you're asking of what happens when you die, and how the brain remain active for a little while? If you really want to know, sort of, find a hopeless case and get them to slit their wrist in an MRI machine.
