Are you evil ?

From time to time I kill random wandering farmers and sneak in to peoples houses murder them while they sleep and make off with any valuables. Am I they only or are the rest of you as immoral as me ?.

I installed a mod for random travelers and kill them because they re-spawn. Skyrim's already sparse population is too precious to the gaming experience to be wasted in my killing sprees.

Depends on which character I'm playing, currently it's an assassin, so yup.

I could put my character morality summary like this: (regarding the characters I made, not the general disposition of the class)
Good: Mage, Entertainer/Minstrel (A Dunmer's gotta do what a Dunmer's gotta do - certain Daedric quests. I put him in neutral for now)
Neutral: Adventurer, Thief, Entertainer/Minstrel
Evil: Assassin, Rogue

I don't murder people. I can't bring myself to do it.

EDIT: Saying that I just started my first assassin character (build here http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1356697-my-first-assassin/page__fromsearch__1 )

After completing as many quests as i can (be bothered to) I always start my mass extermination of wherever I am. Morrowind, Oblivion and now Skyrim are all very empty provinces thanks to me. And i mean EVERYONE, used a mod to remove essential tags off people so no more invincible Greybeards etc.

Edit: All on my assassin character of course  (the sneaky killmoves make it so satisfying)

Since ES is all about immersion, I always play a person very similar to me so I can envision myself interacting with everything around me.

So sitting around slashing and killing everyone reduces the dimension of it all. IMHO. Seems really icky to me and - no offence, really - kinda creepy.

I am therefore "not evil" but that's only because I don't kill anyone - unnecessarily. But I'm currently level 86 in two-handed, helped the Stormcloaks take Whiterun back, am a Companion, and have a Dwarven Axe of Fire that's my weapon of choice...and I do remember the days when there was Honor amongst Thieves...

My next character will probably be named Kwai Chang Caine.

My first character was a Horse thief, murderer (but not for the DB), and a Daedra worshiper, so yes, I believe I have played an evil character. Actually, that was probably one of my most enjoyable playthoughs in quite a while. Only did the man quest that time because it was 11-11-11 when I started him, and wanted to see how it would play out.

One question that bothers me is, how does one know when to stop with the killing?

I could play an evil character, surely, but I would probably try to kill everyone who is not essential. Where does one stop?!

Yep. I think good characters are too boring. At the most I play a neutral, but self-centred character.

being evil doesn't mean you have to be a psychopath and slaughter everything you see. I believe my character was guilty of 16 murders and even more horse thefts. Never did a single day in prison because he never left any witnesses...alive. Pick your targets carefully, plot them out...and execute.

Most of my characters are usually "good" so I don't harm many NPCs on them, but my current one is pretty much a Redguard bandit/pirate/thief, so... Put two and two together on this one. :)

That, and and evil character can choose to spare those who have some use to him.

No, I've never done that. Not even with an "evil" character that would do some evil things for the Dark Brotherhood, Daedric Princes, etc. But I've never played a psychopath - noting that a psychopath is very different from an assassin. My evil characters will kill innocents, but only if there is a reason.

I'm more of a Good Guy but I always do join the Dark Brotherhood. Lucky for me, majority of contracts is for revenge one someone who has done wrong so it isn't truly an evil thing though closer to Evil than Good.

Bad thing about being a Good Guy is all we get is Dawnbreaker... I miss my Chrysamere!

I'm the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, hoarded a bunch of Daedric Artifacts, and spat on the face of TWO Daedric Princes. Not to mention that I'm the only Dovahkiin who doesn't use shields but rather a big sword and an illusion spell that completely makes everything stop attacking me.

But no really, I'm more of a neutral type person. The entire middle part of my roleplaying experience was about my character's obsession with hoarding all the powerful artifacts and becoming Jesus H. Chuck Norris to brutally ram a sword up every Thalmor person's butt. It fits with my character's backstory and eventually, he falls into being a pretty bad dude. But finally, after killing a random mercenary, my character regained his honor.

Now he's basically Altair from Assassin's Creed...with dragon shouts.

Depends on the character and on what you call evil
Vriddi is brave, honourable and generally helps others, but she is also vengeful and doesn't believe in giving people a second chance
Griselda is a sneaky killer who would sell her own mother if the price was right but she doesn't do anything, even evil deeds, for free

Not much point in being evil tbh. It won't matter though, nobody in all of skyrim cares if you're the good guy or the bad guy.

Well by evil I didn't mean some kind of dark lord my character has what you might term as issues. Hes basically a decent guy and happy to put his life on the line to help those in need. However he does have a dark side and will sometime laff shouting you werent expecting that as he runs through a poor farmer takes his soul and uses it to charge an enchanted weapon.

Being the good guy gets boring after a while, no way am i playing 3 or more characters that are the saviour of Tamriel. Might as well go the complete opposite route and be the harbinger of death. Too few games actually let you play the bad guy

Well, i actually never kill people, even i just tough about it and i've never killed a single friendly or natural npc since the start of the game O.O

YET, whenever i enter a room, a inn, a house; the first thing i look for is where can i get/steal free valuable stuff:P every single chest, bookcase, room, door, pickpocketing everysingle npc...

It's like i bet there is AT LEAST 30k valued stuff waiting in my home for a merchant that will buy stolen things:P

Lol i'm like, picking every single item that value 10x of its weight, for example every single dwarwen bowl in murztf, and every single food and ingredients that i got more than 50 carrots and apple and bread and potato, i have TONS OF healtht and mana potions..

And also i got 27k gold atm with best enchanted items that can be found for level 28, both for me and my beatiful lydia^^
