:D:D:D I've went from rage mode to feeling helpless to just laughing about it all. It feels so surreal, bought the game 4 weeks ago and haven't touched it for over 3 weeks, and bethesda is doing [censored] all about the game apparently. I've never experienced such a s*** fest in my whole life from what was percieved as a serious business.

They have no doubt finished the patch now and it's being tested.

Or what might have happened is that while testing it they discovered something broken and had to go back and fix it.

Would you rather them just release a broken patch?

Or Microsoft and Sony, who have to clear the patch before it gets released on the consoles, may be dragging their feet/still getting over their thanksgiving dinners.

God forbid, it sure would svck to have a broken patch for the game I am unable to play, which meant I couldn't play it.

Not that I have any idea what the process is to get a patch approved by MS, but i'm pretty sure there's been lots of games where i've gotten an update on the game after 1-2 days after release. I refuse to accept that its been almost a month since they said a patch was being worked on because MS is sitting on their hands. Not to mention that by the time they released that statement, they obviously already had been working on it according to them.

Pretty much complete indifference at this stage. It makes no difference to a fair number of people as they are unable to play anyway, so a half assed patch seems a fitting solution to a half assed game.

how can a incomplete patch broke a game already broke?

we cannot save (corrupt savegame bug) we cannot finish a lot of quest (scripts done by monkeys blinded by banana in their eyes) and a lot of other TOTALLY stopping bugs!!!

they have a patch ready??? RELEASE IT!!! i have already a broken game! what else can happens? RED LIGHTS?

and now in italian :

MA VAFFANCULO RILASCIATELA STA CAZZO DI PATCH CHE PEGGIO DI COSI' NON SI PUO' ANDARE!

It would certainly be nice to have some more definitive timescale information updates rather than "in the coming weeks", "soon" and "once they're available, we'll let you know".

If there is a delay just let us know, every time I have attended or given customer service training the one point has always been stressed is to keep the customer informed about what is happening, how long it will take to remedy the problem and any further problems encountered along the way. Most restaurants will even offer something complimentry to appease the customer....., I wouldn't expect such a thing, feel entitled to or demand it, but it does show empathy with the customers plight.

Why does everyone want this patch rushed out? Let them take their time testing it and retesting it, so we're not stuck with a patch that needs a patch that needs a patch for that patch. What I read so far, they're also fixing the minor annoying stuff like weapon reloads and such. The companion waypoint markers is also a great addition in this patch

Guys, don't blame programmers and creatives. Blame publishers.
I'm a comic drawer and I know how many pressure publishers put on creatives. I'm sure that the guys who phisically created the game were perfectly aware of its bugs, but someone dictate to respect the release date at any cost.

I'm looking forward for the final patch as you, and I'm disappointed as you. But please, don't insult Bethesda or Obsidian because most of the people working for these companies are innocent about New Vegas troubles.

Honestly, they probably have to delay the patch so that they can QA test the DLC. The DLC will be coming out in like 3 weeks! They have to thoroughly test it's comparability with the new patch I'm sure..

Yes, we'll have an update soon. As these things go, it's not easy to predict the exact day it'll go up. There's testing and certification, and once you've uploaded it, you basically have to wait until it's released on LIVE (similar to how downloadable content works).

When we have news on it being out, we'll let you know.

Hang in there.

i've been "hanging in there" since launch!!!!

honestly, you have to understand why people are so upset...

the game costs almost $30 less now than hen it came out, and i haven;t been able to play it for over a month now!

after i lost my 3rd playthrough, what was the point in playing again until the patch fixes things?

THANK YOU. I've been steadily growing more and more disgruntled over the last few weeks as my game seems to get steadily more corrupted. I was hoping for at least another comment from Gstaff since the 18th.

It won't stop the thousands of people from returning the game, but it will make those of us waiting patiently feel a little bit better.

has the patch even been submitted to Microsoft for testing and certification, or is it yet to have to go through those hoops?

In view of the vulgar language in the OP and this is not achieving anything I am closing this.

Topics such as this are OK as long as they remain acceptable, non-vulgar and civil.
