Are You Taking A Fews Day Off?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 7:10 am

Hi, All.....

For Skyrim's release I have decided to book 3 days off work so I can have some alone time with my latest purchase.
When I told my mate he told me I was Mad! I told him he was for not doing it. So I'm wondering, How many others have booked some days off for their most anticipated Game of the Year. It would be interesting to see the world crash for a day, However I've never taken holidays for any game before..

So what are you doing?

Just happened to have a week off work after it comes out. So the world obviously wants me to play Skyrim all weekend!

I took 2 weeks off :celebration: .

But not just because of Skyrim, I really need a break soon, been making overtimes a lot lately.

I had five days left until Christmas, I've got to use them so, so why not take two days for Skyrim (Friday and Monday)? These games come along maybe twice a decade. If people can justify taking time off for the new CoD then I think I'm justified for Elder Scrolls.

Well, luckily, I'll be at the Midnight release Friday morning, play until about 6 a.m., head to class, get home around 3 p.m., then I'm off all weekend, so I have a completely free schedule until the following Monday :foodndrink:.

Release day is my last day of work for one week, which means I'll have the whole next week to waste spend playing Skyrim. It's a good thing too, since I'm sick of playing New Vegas, and Oblivion I've played to death for years now. Fallout 3 is the only game that remotely interests me anymore, so Skyrim is welcome now.

Definitely not, I like playing small segments of the game per day, that way I enjoy it much more.
And my gf has some basic needs, so no day(s) off...

It comes out on Friday, so I'll have the weekend to play. I will be murderous if I get homework/loads of homework that weekend.

Friday is a holiday, so I'll be off all day playing it. I was thinking about skipping school on Monday, but I don't think I'm going to. I hate missing school, especially when it's for something like that.

Probably, but it'll be for the forums rather than for the game.

I wish. I have exams the day Skyrim comes out, and then a week of helping out people with cerebal palsy immediately following. I'm trying to stay positive about all the Skyrim time I'll be missing out on - at least I'll be helping people, right?

Yep, booked off that Friday and the following week. :) I get 6 weeks paid holiday and I always like to have a week off before the Christmas pressure hits at work, plus it's my Mum's birthday, so it worked out really well for me!

I only have one class November through December, so aside from some occasional business with this and that, it's essentially time off for me.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't due to tests. I also probably won't have Skyrim on release, heck, there's a good chance I won't play Skyrim until Winter break.

I'm taking off that Friday. That's it though. I don't have leisure time really. But for Skyrim, I'm making time.
