Arena.

Do you think that the arena should be brought back to life?

Just that, I miss it.

In some sense, the lack of an Arena in Skyrim DOES make sense. Ignoring the fact that dragon's are attacking and there is a civil war, where exactly would an arena be in Skyrim?

The Imperial City in Tamriel was massive compared to Skyrim cities and it made sense for it to have an arena. There really isn't an equivalent in Skyrim. Perhaps if something were to be added in via mods or DLC, it would be more of a fighting circuit, where the player went from hold to hold challenging the local champions in smaller venues.

I think it'd make perfect sense if the Companions held an Arena once a week to recruit new Shield-Siblings.

Exactly! I don't think a massive centralized Arena fits with the atmosphere of Skyrim, but pit fighting outside the companions, or maybe in the basemant of an inn or something would fit in nicely.

Well that would be a very good addition I think , not as a huge building called "arena" but a more simple variant like people said before

Id doubt anyone would host an arena in the middle of a war with dragons mixed in. Not a lethal one, anyway. But if the fights was not deadly why not?

To be fair, the Arena in Oblivion didn't really slow down for the Oblivion crisis, where freaking GATES TO HELL WERE OPENING UP ALL OVER THE COUNTRY :obliviongate: so I'm not sure how much of a difference a civil war and some flying lizards would make to the battle-lovin' Nords :P

Also, what I would love to see would be a remake of TES: Arena, or at least a game where the player could traverse Tamriel in its entirety. Granted, the only way Arena got away with that was with randomly generated terrain that all looked the same. Still, a nerd can dream :D

Easy. Windhelm. There was supposed to be an arena in Windhelm called the Pit. There's even still references to it in dialogue such as characters referring to the prison there as the Bloodworks. I think also Rolff will actually call you "Pit bait" under certain circumstances as well. And oh yes, the actual worldspace still exists in the game as well, it's just not accessible unless you're on PC.
