Argonian and Khajiit tails

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:44 pm

I think they should have more tail moves. The animals who have a tail (cats, dogs) are using it more intensively especially in motion it's like an arm, an active extension of the body. In Skyrim it is just like a disposable costume tail, pretty immobile and useless. How about using the tail to express their feelings (like cats do), or why not to slap the enemy in the face.

I think they should first fix the bugs, like the proper running animation only sometimes playing on the tail, and it going through chairs sometimes. Hopefully Bethesda fixes these things.

I'm playing Argonian and I don't like the tail animations, it's rigid and looks bad with armor and object collision. They should make the beast races from scrap if they ever want to do a Black MArsh or Elsweyr game, design proper beast body and make completely different animations than humans for running, walking, swimming and fighting. Jumping on trees would be nice.

The tail should be available as a Perk weapon.

I've got the impression the tails in Oblivion were better which is strange.

They could use the tails to pickpocket, to stir the soup and to taunt Morrowind style.

I think you should be able to alter the appearance of tails too, I could be wrong on this but i think all the khajiit tails are spotted. (but this is a very minor thing)

It would be nice if they at least gave them some collisions so they don't go right through the ground/stairs when going downhill. The whole useing them as a weapon or pickpocketing sounds odd but they should have more animations and movements.

When in sneak I notice the tail becoming like a pole sometimes...I assume this is either a bug or just an oversight. You would think a Khajiit would try to curl his tail to keep it from knocking stuff over and just generally keep it from getting in the way.

I sadly haven't got the time to try an Argonian but I going to guess that it will have odd movements copied from the Khajiit or be a pole all of the time.

How much I love Khajiits I would have to disagree on the idea of pickpocketing with the tail or using it in combat. That just seem silly when they have thumbs which they would most likely have more control over.

Maybe for argonians it could be like the khajiit claws, only they swim much faster with the tail..and cats just don't swim, right?

Cats can swim. I've had more than one cat that loved water, the little freaks. One of my cats had a habit of splashing around in his water bowl and getting it everywhere.

Are you kidding? my Khajiit's Tail keeps flailing everywhere, even in death the Khajiit Tails are still moving.

maybe in some animations it can be stiff, and I found it disappointing that my Tail went through chairs when i sat on them when they had that down in Oblivion.
