Armor and Weapon Edit Window adjustment

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:03 am

The window that pops up, from double clicking an item in the object window, is cut off on the bottom. The display height is too much. You can't adjust the window in the CK. The "OK" and "Apply" tabs are inaccessible.

I have looked through the SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini folder and I can't for the life of me figure out what parameters to adjust, or if I am even in the right file.

Any suggested assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks shadeMe for the response. I really appreciate it.

So, this is the only solution? A 3rd party software?

I mean, I guess it is what it is. I find it odd that there is no ini file to manipulate these windows. The "Armor" window is fine. As are all the other windows. There are ini files for the CK, render, cell view, preview ( had a time with this one) etc.... It's just the "Weapon" window.

There has got to be a file somewhere that tells it what size to be. My resolution settings are all set properly.

If you're on Windows 7, check http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/648724-ck-window-too-big-too-edit/page__view__findpost__p__5116096 on the Nexus by cscottydont.
(Fonts were set to display too large somehow)

Well, I have ran and thoroughly tested the application. It works...sometimes. It is rather crude and not reliable. It only works once every 4 tries. Even then the info in the window is collapsed over each other, making some of the information in accessible.

I guess I can edit the window and then try to resize to access the bottom tabs, but it's a 25% of success. Still, I guess a dirty hack is just a dirty hack.

Maybe there are other options? Surly, with all of the modding happening, someone else has this issue.

EDIT : @ tuna

Thank you. I will look there.

Again, thanks for the link, but unfortunately my settings are already set to the default - 100 ( smallest ).

IIRC that was the adjustment I made to rectify another similar issue.

Just bringing this back to the mantel.

Hopefully someone has a solid fix, or suggestion. Thank you for any advise.
