Like the title says, I downloaded the HD texture and when I go into the game now all armors are replaced with the lovely purple "default" texture. Any advice?

I am having this issue as well. Not for all armors, but definitely some, as well as iron weapons and iron shield have no textures.

I used to encounter this before they implemented the 4gig LAA patch. It might be from a lack of system resources. Not enough Vram or system RAM. Not 100% sure though, so don't take my word for it. I haven't had it happen with 1.5gigs of Vram and 8 gigs system ram yet.

You could try lowering AA and AF settings a little bit, then see if that clears it up. Or try turning them both off and check, then add 2x for each and check, etc etc.

Most of the time when i enter a building the items are missing textures too... and CTD... lots of them

Same problem. Very frustrating. No other performance issues really. Is it possible to just roll-back the HD texture install?

Just un-tick the HD files in the Data Files selector in the Skyrim Launcher.

Duh. For some reason I thought it would have overwritten something. Glad they did it that way.

Unchecked. things look better, no missing textures, and no fps hit.

this still isn't acceptable... why is there mods being replaced by the texture pack.... should be the other way around like it was with the standard.

Just a little update, I had Steam check the integrity of the cache and it detected and downloaded a missing file. Now I have all of my armor textures again!
