Is my armor too powerful for my level?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 2:23 pm

The question is what it is. I'm level 33 with a complete flawless orcish armor set, and the game seems to be a bit easy right now.

Up the difficulty to Master.

Oh, and the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Armor#Armor_Cap is 567. This is for future reference when you, just like I did, realize you could hit 900 Armor Rating and think "awe sweet! I'm gonna be unstoppable!"

Lol by the time I was 33, I was already on the heavy dragon armor. I was still getting killed quite easily on Adept.(mind you it was legendary armor)

Probably because you got your Smithing to 100 at a low level. Your overall level increased, while your Heavy Armor/One-Handed (or Two Handed) stayed the same. You were fighting mobs a few levels higher than you if you take your combat skills into consideration.

to me that question seems a bit vague. suggesting that the game is easy because of wearing full flawless armor doesn't make sense to me. are you saying that for a lvl 33 character, when people hit you you don't take a lot of damage? could be a difficulty setting issue. also what is your armor rating with that?

That is exactly what I mean, and I'm already on master. I'm not completely sure what my current armor rating is as I don't have the game in front of me, but I think the rating on my chest piece alone is 184. Or at least somewhere near there

I know what you mean! I saw it and immediately thought it looked too intricate and crazy. Maybe it's the glowing red veins

I like the way it looks like the ordinary ebony armor was twisted into swirls and whatever by the soul of daedra. But it's still very unpractical.

Judging by http://pix.playground.ru/download/gallery/1193573/b9c2649f1fbb1c7156e3ba50e7fa2fca.jpg picture in your signature, that is hardly anything to be proud of. In fact, I'd call it idiotic.

yea, I spent the first couple of hourse power smithing, because I got obsessed with wearing Dragon Heavy Armor (Dovaakiin should wear the skin of his kind, right?)

but now I'm on level 33, my one-hand and heavy armor is around the 60s and I'm still getting owned by Elder dragons

That would be why. At level 33 my combat skills were around 80.

Start running around naked or in fancy clothes or something. That should make things a little harder.
