Armour suggestions

Post » Wed Jul 04, 2012 1:59 am

Could anyone give me some Light Armour or even Light Armour with some "Heavy Armour" parts included into it.
I am a Female Dark Elf, illusion assassin, I wear Light Armour but I do not put any Perks in the Light Armour or Heavy Armour tree as it is not needed for my kind of character. Right now I am wearing Daedric Gauntlets, Hooded Black Robes, Nightingale Boots and my standard ring / necklace. I would really like some cool looking armour for my Dark Elf Assassin, Could anyone give me some suggestions please? ^.^

Thanks, Emkayz x

My Nord wears Ebony mail (heavy), nightingale hood, boots, gloves. He looks baaaad assss!! That combo seems to work well with both light and heavy, not to mention the added perks that come along with them.

Daedric armour is cool and all but I guess its just personal preference at that point. I like the ebony mail because it looks bad ass, and if anyone gets too close, opponents take 5 points of poison damage per second!

I kinda dig The Guild Masters Armor and Hood with the Dark Brotherhood's Boots and Gloves complete with Chillrend. I think it's one of the best load outs in the game.

You have to reach level 20 and just derp about in the wilderness. You will be attack by a quite powerful dumner named "Cultist of Boethiah" or something similar. You will take the book of of him and read it. It will send you on your merry way.

Yes. He is quite strong though, dealing about 85 damage to unarmored opponents. But the ebony mail is basically just Ebony Plate without the paulders. It aslo adds a poinsen shroud to you, muffles your footsteps, and boosts sneak, so it can be quite useful.

Well everyone's tastes are different, but for a roguish character lategame I like dragonscale armor, dragonscale boots, dragonscale guantlets and a mage hood, I play as a man though so it might not look as good on a female player character.

I'm not too keen on the Dragonscale armour myself, I think it's too flashy or odd looking lol.. I must admit I do like some of the hooded robes but I do need much more protection that that especially when I run into some Soldiers who claim to be someone and asking for money etc... :( *Bless my cotton socks, sniffles*

Negatory. There's a shrine to Boethiah just outside of Windhelm. Once you leave the city, follow the road left (if you're standing on the bridge looking straight away from the city) and you should see the marker before too long. Don't even have to stray from the road.

Go up there, (make sure to bring a follower with you. Any will do; just go hire some poor sap in a tavern) talk to some folks, and make your follower activate the thingymajig infront of the shrine. Follower dies, giant brawl breaks out, kill everybody, Ebony Mail.

In order to get the ebony mail, you have to complete the "Boethia's calling" quest. Look that up it should point you in the right direction  . It is in fact a daedric artifact.

I definitely agree for the female http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-item-Dragonscale_Armor_Female.jpg, it looks weird I mean that briastplate basically looks like the top piece of a corset and the shoulder pads are awful (is she playing american football?), and yeah at level 42 you probably need alot more armor than hooded robes which is no armor at all, if you want to melee things in any case.

Btw, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-item-Ebony_Mail.jpg is what the Ebony Mail looks like on a male character, it's basically like the ebony briastplate without the shoulderpads and with a black chainmail texture. It's probably similar for a female character.

Negatory? He was correct, that's how I started Boethia's quest. You can start it in several ways. The way you wrote is just one of them.

That is if you already know where the Shrine is. I was just telling her how to start the quest in a regular first time fashion.

That's how I got it. I'm not sure about what level you need to be (but seeing as how you're 40+, you shouldn't have a problem), but I didn't even think there was another way to start any of the Daedric quests (Azura excluded) other than finding their shrines.

It's actually a pretty neat little story. Though, if you do happen across this chap while you're just out and about, that'd go faster. If you do it my way (going to the shrine) you need to go track him down after.
