Hello ,


I want to buy Dawnguard but I don't want to start the quest until I finish the main storyline on my Nord Dragonborn warrior (I have only 1 dragonborn). My dragonborn is lvl 36-38 can't remember correctly and Im currently at the quest.

My view on the last battle of vanilla skyrim between me, the dragonborn dressed in dragonplate armor fighting Alduin would happen at lvl 60ish.

However there is a nice discount to Dawnguard and want to buy it, but I don't want to play it until im finished with Alduin.

Around what level did you guys fought Alduin? Is he supposed to be fought at a certain level?

Level 6 or something. A few hours into the game.

He is pretty lackluster for a final boss. If you want a challenge then finish the main quest ASAP. That and if you do go at a high level, you will be forced to fight 20+ Draugr Deah Overlords & friends before the final battle with Alduin. So if you find just one Death Overlord to be problematic, well... go as an early level as possible.
