Arrested for killing Thalmor

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 4:19 am

I killed some Thalmor just east of Rorikstead, which made me plenty happy. Then, when I arrived in Rorikstead, the Whiterun guards stationed there promptly arrested me. Then they fined me 45 gp! Bastards. They should have given me a reward. I can't see how any Thalmor could be worth a 15 gp fine.

I've done the "missing in action" quest in Whiterun and wiped out a fort full of them. I didn't get any bounty, wasn't kicked out of the legion and the guards sometimes say "I heard about your run with the Thalmor. Sure, you know how to pick up an enemy". The only consequences is that random Thalmor NPCs are hostile most of the time.

I completed the Stormcloak questline, so they occupied all of the cities. Went to Markarth and saw that there were still Thalmor agents in the throne area. Killed one, got a bounty for committing crimes against Skyrim >(.

You have to pester them into attacking first to avoid a bounty. I attacked 3 in the middle of nowhere and those "all seeing unseen eyes" promptly laid a bounty on my head. Deja-vu all over again.

An ally with the imperials is an ally to the thalmor. But it's the whiterun guards. Truly a questionable approach.

I let Lydia go in the College of Winterhold, I said "lets part ways". She said bye, then ran up to Ancano and tryied to kill him. I dont think she likes Thalmor either.

45GP is the fine for not tea-bagging their dead bodies. No rewards are given for a necessary duty, just like your mom doesn't reward you for killing a mosquito.

The Empire is the Thalmor's bioooootch so if you violate the Thalmor, you violate the Empire.

Murder is a 1000g fine.

The 15g fine is for littering.

Go to the Thalmor Embassy. There's only Thalmor there. So you get no bounty... as long as you kill them all.

40 was for the assault. 5 was for probably some petty theft you did.

Be glad they didn't fine you for murdering the Thalmor. ;)

They still have to put up appearance of "protecting" the Thalmor from crime, so they just fine you for assault. :) ... I guess.

The Empire is the Thalmor's bioooootch so if you violate the Thalmor, you violate the Empire.

Ulfric was http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Elenwen's "bioooootch" for quite some time during the Great War.

Do you really believe that Ulfric's mind is completely his own, knowing the Thalmor's propensity for "re-education"?

The White-Gold Concordat is only an interbellum at best, and everyone knows it except the Stormcloaks it seems.
