It was already in the late 30ies levels when i recruited Belrand as follower.
A spellsword with 100 destruct, light armor, onehanded, and about 80 rest..
The only spell he knew was familiar, somewhat later he also showed oakflesh.
I treated him with tomes as well with console,
he didn't care,
i insisted, finally he got the sparks somehow.
So he didn't get out his hunting bow anymore,
but now he sparkled anything extensively.
With plenty of magicka and boosted recovery this ineffectual spell never ends.
He didn't aim properly. just somewhere behind an enemy, continued when they moved on or i got in his way.
No damage, no problem.
In the blackreach he once surprised me destroying some falmer with fireballs,
even added some icy spikes.
But outside he immediatly forgot anything and sparkles.
I sneak at trolls, bowed as i was, but he charged them with sparks and his familiar as well.
Once more i had a serious concole with him.
"Belrand, please forget this annoying familiar, forget about the sparks"
"What ? I don't know these spells ! What are you talking about ?"
He was lying to me, i wnated to add others spells, but he already knew.
I removed them and added them.
It worked, he finally upgraded to ligthing bolt, level 40+.
He was only able to remember this spell, the only spell he knew then.
His tactics : cast this spell .
In melee, why ever get out the daedric axe as long as u have some magicka left.
It looks as he is trying to make conversation while he gets beaten up.
He could kill the draugr with one or two hits with axe, but no...
Somehow while teaching him l. bolt i must have accidentially unlocked
another ability, since then he was able to dual-wield.
When he run out of magicka he surprised me...
as all npc he favours axes over swords,
so now he was standing in front of me, in the one hand his daedric axe, in the other,
it wasn' the dawnbreaker he had,
it was
his pickaxe instead.
