[RElz] Asgaardian Armory

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:20 am

Welcome to Asgaardian Armory! This is my new, ongoing project that focuses on introducing high-res, handmade re-imagined textures for other mods and vanilla content. The first mod to have this done, obviously, is the Chronicles of Steel - Nord. With it, I created new textures for the weapons that carry the original style that Waalx introduced, but while giving each sword a realistic pattern weld (which I found to be extremely attractive) and more realistic materials overall.

For now, only the swords have been completed, as I intended this initial release to allow my work to get out there as well as garner more feedback than I was getting through simple images. After this initial release, I'll start work on bows and axes. Once those are completed, I'll be able to start attacking each sword individually, correcting issues raised with them, if there be any. (and there most certainly are issues, some of which I know of already)

NOTES
===========
6-18-2012 ~ Initial Release

Installation
===========
Installation is very simple. Simply extract the Data folder in the file to your Skyrim Directory, and overwrite all of the original files.

In order to use the alternate textures for certain swords, simply open the folder of the sword alternate you want to use, and extract that Data Folder to your Skyrim directory, overwriting the original textures.

CREDITS
========
Waalx ~ Original Realswords Mod
Shingouki ~ His fantastic port of the original mod.

I would post the link, but I apparently can't. Should be fairly simple to find in a Nexus search however. Just type in:

I, personally love this mod. I love what it puts on the table and I think the weapons are great!

I don't know..........
I think they look good. I like them. Not a serious change, but realistic tone alternatives. Not much difference from the originals, to my eyes.
I was hoping this would be left to shingouki-san. He's working hard on this for Skyrim, blood-splatter and all. However, they're just textures, correct? So the original CoS is still required.
Maybe I'm being rude.
Also....... he's taking too long to update anything that maybe you should take over anyways :laugh:

They were always intended to just be re-done originals, as shin had original wanted that. The only real liberty I took with them was adding the pattern welds to the swords.

And yes, they are just textures. The original COS is required.

Oh, and IDK if its known here but he's been working on the port of Realswords Imperial since COSNord current version got released. Hence why he hasn't updated much.
