Ash piles correctly clean up, right?

Another forum the members say no but they're less than reputable and are filled with trolls.

Can anyone here confirm?

Bodies that disappear become dust piles that disappear. bodies that remain become dust piles that remain.

I have a few areas say one in the Reach another in the Whiterun Tundra that have not cleaned up and its areas where I brought some things back from the dead and I killed them to test the patch in the tundra there is three ash piles next to eachother. In the Reach I have an area with around seven or eight ash piles that never have cleaned up.

I still have ash piles that are still not cleared. So I would say no, they haven't properly cleaned up yet.

That's why I still can't play a Necromancer. There'd be ash piles everywhere.

And what determines whether bodies stay or disappear?

I've still got the ash pile of that Silver-Blood from the Escape From Cidhna Mine quest at Markarth. And the bodies of the three Revelers are still lying next to the rock pile at Kynesgrove, along with one local. MarkForDelete doesn't help either.
Well, MarkForDelete doesn't help with my Letrush problem either. I've got three of 'em. Again.

Won't help your memory much (well I'm not sure, but I think it won't) but you can at least do an aesthetic fix by using disable command.

I would love to play a pure necromancer but just as you described it would be lag central with ash piles everywhere.

I think beth should stop the reanimate spells from turning the dead into ashes and instead make it so that every time you reanimate that dead body the spirit you keep binding to it gets stronger to the point where you can't reanimate it anymore.

Like how in the fallout series (3 and NV) you couldn't specialize in energy weapons.

How long has this particular problem plagued us? My god...

This is why I refuse to play as a full fleshed out necromancer it was my necromancer character that has the ash piles I mentioned above, I refuse to make a necromancer until this is properly fixed or I get the PC and get unofficial Skyrim patch.

I was literally just thinking that. In FO3, I remember thinking about how much of a pain in the ass those were...

Same in FO:NV...

Again in Skyrim...

Does anybody actually LIKE these bloody ash piles? I don't understand why they keep returning. :stare:

Not only that, but it contributes to bloated saves which can render some saves unplayable. Its disheartening to go back to a cleared area once it respawns only to see all the weapons from the previous enemies. The only way to prevent this is to store all the weapons in bodies(which is time-consuming). It literally made doing the civil war quests a nightmare :cryvaultboy:

It pains me this issue began in Fallout 3 and it has carried over into Skyrim, there was no ectoplasm issues cleaning up properly in Oblivion, I wonder what happened.

Because for some reason, when an enemy drops their weapon that weapon won't clean up with them, which in turn causes bloated saves. One of my save files reached around 19mg(and is now unplayable) because I didn't store all the weapons that enemies dropped when I killed them.

That is a little ridiculous, all these clean up issues should have been taken care by now... especially when the unofficial patch has taken care of it already.
