I remember Todd Howard explaining before Skyrim released that he wanted each duel, or battle, to seem life threatening; to create an intense atmosphere in which any encounter with an enemy could result in death. Now, I've played numerous characters using potions of all sorts, and have died many times using those characters. But, it was never because the enemy simply defeated me; it was a mistake such as falling off a cliff, not being aware of my hud health, or the occasional dragon-tossing-my-body-death-cam. Alas, I always know when I have a great handful of potions, my character's safe. I feel as though the cost, and plentyful amount of health, stamina, and magicka potions becomes too much of an unrealistic crutch, I suppose.
I don't feel as though potions themselves should be removed in general, but I'd enjoy if potions immediatly after use, would gradually increase the amount of health recovered overtime; simply put, the immediate recovery of attributes is a bit strange, in my opinion. I'm sure others agree?
