No Audio After First Run : Fallout: New Vegas

Greetings,

I have a problem with New Vegas not playing any audio at all.

The first time I started the game up there was no audio. I promptly used the usual remedy and updated my drivers. I was pleased to see that when I started the game back up, I had audio. As soon as I left the game and started it up again, however, the audio was gone just as before. This is the only game that has this issue. Clearly this is a game-breaking problem and I would be very grateful if someone could assist me.

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Audio Card: Realtek (Integrated)
Driver Version: R2.56

Reinstalling the ATI HDMI driver BEFORE the Audio driver finally corrected this issue and ended my headache. Thanks for not replying everyone! :smile:

Lots of people (like me) have sound issues using a Realtek soundcard - so offering your fix is indeed useful. It didn't help me, but I want to hank you anyway!
