so worth getting or not?

In my opinion, yes. The Campaign is very fun.

I wish I had xbox live though....I want to play the gamemodes!

I think infestation is now my favorite, it's so fun with alot of people.

I'm about halfway through the marine campaign. I know I said I was going to start with the predator campaign but it seems more appropriate to get the marine campaign out of the way. It's a little longer than I expected. People were saying the campaigns would be about as long as they were in the other games. That's probably about right but I feel like I have to move at a slower pace to keep stuff from jumping out at me.

Some aspects of the campaign could have been improved-

1. No sythentic android enemies, especially for the Marine campaign
2. Pulse Rifle should do a little more damage
3. Flares should last longer
4. Carry more health shards/stimpacks
5. Predator's throwing disc should do more damage
6. Alien's heavy attack should do more damage
7. Use the alien vision thing for the Predator earlier (along with the throwable spear)

Other than that, the Campaign was really fun.

I would have made some of these spoilers but I do not know what the coding is and the button for it would not work...

I think three is enough. Any more and things would be too easy.

But it's almost always a one hit kill. How much more damage do you need?

This I agree with. The Alien's heavy attack feels weak to me, and it seems to have very short range compared to the Predator's.

I've only played the demo so far, but the core gameplay is a lot of fun and I can see it being a hell of a lot better in the other game modes than in standard deathmatch. If you are a fan of the Alien movies and/or the Predator movies, you'll love it.

The game can get really ridiculous when using the predator....

Yes

I've only played the demo so far, but the core gameplay is a lot of fun and I can see it being a hell of a lot better in the other game modes than in standard deathmatch. If you are a fan of the Alien movies and/or the Predator movies, you'll love it.

I still do not know why a standard deathmatch was the only playable gamemode. Should have also be Team Deathmatch.

Androids are pretty tough, but some well placed shots with the scoped rifle and they'll go down quick.

After one or two GOOD matches that didn't end because everyone left (Cause I'm a beast Marine) I can say that this game might only be good for Multiplayer.

I'm going to be getting a new computer hopefully sometime in the coming months, then I will pick the game up. I would get it now but with all video settings turned down on 800X600 resolution, my fps is still quite choppy. It's playable but I would like to experience this game with good settings and no crap fps. Then I shall pwn all of you.

I beleive it is everyone starts as a marine then one player gets randomly chosen to be an alien. When they kill a player, the other player turns into an alien and so there are two aliens. etc it continues like that until everyone is an alien.

So how's the full game? Because I didn't really like the demo, The gameplay was alright but I really don't think Deathmatch is the mode for a game like AVP, So I still dunno if I didn't really like it overall or just because Deathmatch is crap :embarrass:
