Is the sniper on the cover findable in the game? Is he killable? I really want that armor :flame:

I think you're supposed to be able to find them around NCR locations when you reach a certain level.
They're like, veteran NCR Rangers.

I didn't encounter them at all except during scripted events, however. Like when I was watching a person of the presidential variety.

The veteran rangers start showing up at ranger stations around level 12 or 14.

There are a couple at Camp Forlorn that can be taken out if you have an AMR w/proper ammo and extreme distance on your side. Just hope they never find out who did the bad deed.

And yes, its very sixy.

You'll see some at the end of the game if nowhere else.

Might be me, but like some of you said, you see them around level 15, but I didn't till 23. Which irritated the heck outta me. I read later you have to have started the first quest with the Ambassador on the strip first or the equilevent I reckon, then they'll show, and I guess on average your around 14-16. Soon as I started that quest, traveled to Forlorn hope, looked up in the tower and there he was. So Anti material rifle + incendiary ammo and after a minute, you have a dead ranger and all his belongings and no1 the wiser ( have to erase patch for this tho) but I dont play with it, cause my game crashes more with it. One thing I found is also awesome Chinese Stealth armor with the Ranger Helmet =). Btw at 14-20 I traveled to EVERY station trying to find them before I found what i said earlier, that they appear after the first "main quest" mission

Piss of NCR and behold they will appear more often without you needing to find them with that ranger chick who always warns you that you need better rep. I see them quite often level 15+ around the watse where NCR are.
