Awesome Moments in this Game

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:56 am

You guys all know about cottonwood cove by now right? Well there's this huge cliff right over it and I though it would be a great place to snipe the whole camp. I made my way up there with lots of back-tracking, jumping, and detours but eventually I had a perfect view over the camp. I took out my sniper loaded with JSP rounds and just shot everybody. I was hidden the whole time and I didn't even have a silencer, I was just so far away they couldn't even see me. I used up a ton of my sniper bullets but it was so worth it, I haven't gotten around to selling all my loot yet but I know I'm gonna make a fortune. It was so fun trying to hit the people because they were so far away they were about the size of a grain of rice and my rifle kept swaying because I didn't have 6 strength.

So my main point was, does anybody have any awesome moments they've had in the game like I did? It would be fun to hear everybody's awesome/WTF moments in this game.

this. There were no awesome moments. I'm talking awesome as when you were following the robot in fallout 3, I didn't have any of that in FNV. It was all around rather dull.

Follow the robot? I don't recall any of that in F3. And if you haven't had a cool moment in this game your just not playing enough.

Ahh, the BoS bunker. Good memories.

Went in there, talked, and did a quest for the Elder.
Then, I noticed the self destruct....
I knew Power Armor would be hell to punch through, so I shot up one of the soldiers that had a gauss rifle...
and the epic music and chase scene began.

That would have been awesome if Liberty Prime didn't look so [censored]. It looked like something out of Transformers, except it couldn't turn into a toaster so it was doubly [censored].

As for New Vegas though.. I thought the NCR quest "You'll Know It When It Happens" was pretty well done. A lot of the quests in this game are awesome.

I liked the ending to "Come Fly With Me" aswell.
Spoiler
Purely because I knew that no matter where they landed, whether it be on the moon or at the bottom of the ocean, they were all going to die. I just thought it was really funny that there was absolutely no option to disuade them, your dialogue choices are all just variations of "You want to strap yourself to a rocket and light it? Okay I'll help"

 What have you done in the game? Run around in circles?

@Psychotic: The CL version of that quest, Arizona Killer, is a whole bunch of fun, too.

I found that part of the game rather boring....mainly because there wasn't much interaction during the event.

I love it when my companion gets lost for a bit (not game glitchy lost) and every so often I get a slo-mo of a beastie/baddie getting owned. Good to know they're ok, wherever the hell they are :)
