Awesome songs

Post » Fri Jul 29, 2011 4:18 am

Read the text below me before you post mmkay?

Alright here's the situation; I recently started using my computer as an alarm, ie it turns itself on and starts to play a media file when it's time for me to wake up.

At first I used a random file from my music folder but after a couple of awkward morning when I woke up with my family or roomates staring at me while some weird music played in the background, such as the Power Rangers theme or Lady GaGa, I decided to create an "Alarm Playlist".

What I'm looking for are awesome songs that will make you feel like jumping out of your bed shouting "[censored] YEAH!" while performing an air guitar solo. Basically, a song that will make you feel like this will be a good day.

I haven't really given it much thought but I already have a few songs:

Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas
You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Rock You Like A Hurricane - Scorpions
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
Heat of the Moment - Asia
http://youtu.be/HgzGwKwLmgM

it doesn't have to be a classic rock song, I also have stuff like

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB5YkmjalDg
I feel Good - James Brown
All Star - Smash Mouth

you know what I'm talking about :P so post your favourite "get psyched" song

currently list:

Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas
You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Rock You Like A Hurricane - Scorpions
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
Heat of the Moment - Asia

I feel Good - James Brown

Ain't No Rest For the Wicked - Cage The Elephant
It's My Life - Bon Jovi
Foreplay/Longtime - Boston
Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper
Hair of The Dog - Nazareth
Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
I Wanna Rock - Twisted Sister
Paradise City - Guns n Roses
Panama - Van Halen
Dancing With Myself - Billy Idol
Rag Doll - Aerosmith

I don't know if you're into rap, but "I'm On One" by DJ Khaled, Drake, Rick Ross, and Weezy is a great song.

If you're not into rap, the second best thing I can offer is "Lost" by Avenged Sevenfold.

Aside from CCR and Buffalo Springfield, I don't listen to older rock.

I listen to rap, and I think that DJ Khaled is [censored] awesome, but that song doesn't really work in this situation since it's not energetic enough. If you know what I mean. :/

Genesis or Waters of Nazareth by Justice.

I <3 Justice

but I don't think those songs fit because they take too long to start

well Waters of Nazareth could work, I'll keep it in mind. :)

Stemming off of this post, I'd suggest Kings and Queens as well.

Too loud

If I want to wake up i just play a song I like really load so that it'll both wake me up and make me want to continue listening.

So you want a song that makes you want to get up and go but isn't too loud, eh? Hmm, lemme think on this.

Again, all great songs, but they are too loud and they are not happy enough, do you know what I mean? Like when You Give Love A Bad Name started playing this morning, I woke up with a smile and I wanted to walk through the house in my boxers, singing along every word

:meh: I want a loud song, but it also has to be energetic, like the songs I listed in the OP

I think I have one you might like. It's got energy. "Solidarity" by Enter Shikari.

The beginning will wake you up and make you want to rave.

Muse - Bliss (I don't know how I make my text to be a link) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMqsWc8muj8&ob=av2e

They often name Freddy Mercury as an inspiration and the song I linked is one favourite by them.
