So im stationed in japan, so i get the international release date through steam since i preordered it, well since im on an american military base it was released in stores for ps3 and xbox today... after realizing it wont unlock on my pc, i sat and stared at the box at the store and watched as people bought the game saying "finally i cant wait to play".... i hate my life

I guess you don't play Civ V at all otherwise you would have known this. It's only 3 days.

Yes i have civ 5 and got it from steam but was in the field during the release so didnt get this problem seeing that the game was out for a bit by the time i got back,

And i have a ps3 and my roomate has an xbox but im not going to pay for a whole nother copy just to play 3 days earlier

I'm theorizing that this even promotes piracy to an extent, for people who don't have the patience to wait, or feel like being treated as 2nd rate customers.
