Seriosly i just was looking forword to the casinos in new vegus and haven fun... hmmmmm i new it was to good to be true. they put a thing that if you win to mutch you get band from the casino not for 3 days not for a week but forever. that means there's no bloody point going back there ever agane. It only takes 5 min to get banned. and they put so mutch work in to makeing the casinos look good but no....... they had to make it a limit of fun. dont get me wrong i love the fallout's but they made a huge problem and they didnt even have to put them in if they just dont give a hell how mutch fun we have.

I presume they put that in place to prevent us from gambling our way to obscene amounts of caps and also as a bit of reality. If you win huge amounts of cash in real casino's you will be Banned from them as well.

My Luck is at 7 and with the Naughty Nightwear on, it's an 8. I've been banned from 2 Casinos, The Tops and Vikki and Vance. I won just as much at Gomorrah but their limit might be higher because they comped me something really good and I gave it to Boone and didn't go back to gamble. I don't gamble much though; I prefer to be out in the Wasteland. You could always Save, gamble, reload to have your fun. They're not going to let you get super-rich though.

Last game I went with 8 Luck + 1 from implat + 1 from clothes =10. Way to easy to make a ton of caps that way. I hit on 18-19 and sometimes even 20 (by mistake ) and I would get whatever I need to make a 21. If the game used real 21 algorithms then they wouldn't need to implement a cap + ban. But with luck being such a huge factor (and that great btw since I like my stats to have an effect in RPGs) the only way to stop players from getting a few millions of caps was by getting banned.

It makes perfect sense and there really is no need to make a big deal out of it. For one thing you can play with 1 cap as a bet so you'd have quite some trouble reaching the ban limit. That of course if this is just about wanting to gamble. Or you could just lose intentionally and never have a problem with the limit.

If you want easy caps tho there are other ways. You have mods that increase the bet limit and remove the banning, or you can just use player.additem code in console, whatever. It's not like making money in this game is hard.

I always play Slots. I was struggling for caps until I used the implant and Intense Training perk for Luck...with the Nightwear, it's good at Luck 8 now. Good luck!

This is a good thing, and with a high luck, you are practically given caps by all of the casinos. Even with my Luck 1 character, I was swimming in caps and never ran out. Not once, and I had most of the high tier guns.

I got banned from all three as soon as I crossed 15000 caps.

Mind you, if you are really lucky on the slots you can get a single payout of 28000 caps, which is nothing to sneeze at.

There's an achievement for being banned by the three family casinos, so I'm not sure how this came as a surprise.

I didn't like the permanent ban either. So naturally, being a PC gamer, I got a mod.

If you want to earn the most possible caps from gambling before getting banned, blackjack is not the way to go. Slots payout is much higher for each bet.


Atomic Wrangler 5,000 limit before being banned
The Tops 10,000 limit before being banned
Gomorrah 9,000 limit before being banned
Ultra-Luxe 15,000 limit before being banned

You can only earn a maximum of between 200-400 chips from each hand of blackjack (1:1 payout). However, from roulette you can win up to 35:1 and from slots you can win up to 160:1 for each 200 chip bet. Always bet the maximum possible bet (200 caps), no matter which game you are playing.

This means if you keep playing blackjack for an extended period, you will likely be banned right at the time when you reach the max number of chips. However, with slots, you can be banned when you go way over the limit. If you get three oranges (160:1 payout), for example in slots, you will earn 32,000 chips. These winnings that are in excess of the ban are not removed from you. I got three graqes (80:1 payout) from the Atomic Wrangler slots and earned 16,000 chips, even though the ban limit was 5,000. My luck was 10, BTW.

Unfortunately, Ultra-Luxe has no slots, but you can earn 35:1 from the roulette wheel and max out if you wait until you get close to 15k caps from blackjack before you start playing roulette.

I can't seem to win at roulette, even with ten luck.

And I still haven't figured out caravan.

To win 35:1 at roulette you have to put 200 chips on one number and keep betting for a long time before you win 7000 caps (35:1).

To win at caravan you need to stack your caravan deck with 7s, 9s and 10s.

stack your deck with four 10s, four 9s, four 7s and fill out the rest of the 30 cards with face cards kings or jacks maybe a few queens any other cards you need to add to reach 30 are garbage and you should dump them if they pop up in your hand.

10+9+7 equals exactly 26, so lay down your 10s or 7s first then build up or down to 26.

throw the kings on your opponents deck to make them go over if they get close to 26. if your opponent throws down a 10, 9, 4,3, or 2 as their very first card in the stack, you can throw a queen on top to force them to go the other direction. if you are already at 26 on all three stacks and don't have any more cards you can use without going over, use jacks, kings or queens on your opponents stacks until your opponent stacks get high enough in value for the game to end so you can win.

one really important note:

when you first start you must use your cursor keys to move the cards up, down, left right into the right position so the card changes from Red to Green.

I didn't realize this and lost several games without figuring out how to place my cards on the table correctly.

don't listen to that ridiculosuly long winded and convoluted caravan advice! if you randomise your deck and just PLAY the game instead of spending all that time setting up your deck (oh what fun) you can learn pretty quickly to win 99% of the time because the ai is dumb and doesn't know how to play properly the thing about pressing DOWN to get started is right though

Yes and no.

They put it in because unlike in real life, there's a save function. You can't quicksave every time you win and quickload every time you lose in a real casino after all. It stops people from savescumming their way to riches.

But in real life, most casinos will gladly let you keep on playing no matter how lucky you are. If your betting and play patterns look like it's more than just luck, you can bet they'll show you the door real quick, if not the inside of an interrogation room.

The casino knows it has the edge in the long run, they're not in the business for charity after all, they're in it to make money hand-over-fist. They'll gladly let you gamble your jackpot away knowing that over an infinite number of plays you will eventually lose exactly what their house advantage says you will lose, usually 2-5%

I believe that to be banned from real life Vegas casino's you need to win a very long stretch of suspicious games. Professional gamblers win huge amounts of money daily. I have relatives (not close ones...or even ones I want to talk to) who win 30k and 40k regularly (once or twice per year) and they get free plane tickets and comped rooms...not banned. I also think that they take into account if you are spending money while winning, like if you are staying in the hotel and such. Now that I think about it...it might be also a matter what games you are winning at and how often you are losing...cause no one wins 100% of the time or even 75%.

Most casinos in-game have higher caps than 40k. Some have like 150k. And you do get stuff like comped rooms before you get to that point.

I can't remember which one but one of the casino's has a cap of like 37k....it might be the Vicky and Vance. But even at 150k....I think it takes more then just total lifetime winnings to get you banned from real world Vegas casinos.

Breaking the bank of a casino on suspicious games in a relatively short period of time (whatever the clock says, they game still treats everything as if it takes place in a few weeks) is "more."
