In the early stages of the game, it was pretty hard. A sabre cat would completely annihilate me. Bandit caves would be extremely tough as well, sometimes impossible without the help of a companion. I fought this bandit leader at the early stages and he completely [censored] me when I tried fighting him with my sword. I had to resort to shooting him with my bow and then running away to hide, it took me like ten to 15 minutes to kill the guy.
But the final boss was really way to easy. Even the first time you fight him is not challenging enough. He killed me a couple times but then I defeated him fairly easily on the third try. When you're playing the game on the toughest difficulty setting, it should be harder. I grant you that my guy was pretty damn powerful when I finally beat Alduin, about level 50. But he is the final boss, he should be hard! Seems like a big time missed opportunity. I love the elder scrolls series, played most of the games even daggerfall. Skyrim kind of ended on a whimper.
