Bards College and a Writers Guild

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 4:13 pm

Someone needs to make so that you can use an instrument and sing upon joining the Bards College. Also an idea to think about is a Writers Guild where one is given a blank book to write in. You could write anything in it, a short story, a novel, an epic, a poem, just plain nonsense. You then submit it to the guild which then spreads it all across Skyrim. You'd even get random remarks from the guards or people saying how good or bad it was.

I realize this would be no easy task to implement but what do you think?

Sounds like something you can mod in with the Creation Kit, honestly though, the remarks would have to be randomized 50/50, no matter how well written the book actually is.

Well that would be the fun of it, you could have written yourself a master piece and a guard trashes it. I'd at least find that funny. Always going to have your critics.

Well, I find in real life, when something gets really popular, more people tend to bash it. I mean, morrowind had many of the same problems Skyrim has, but less people are bashing Morrowind because it sold significantly fewer copies

That is true, though in true Skyrim guard fashion they'd have to say it in a funny way.

"I took an arrow to the knee and can still write better than you."

Well something better than that but you get what I'm saying lol.

lol

I was disappointed with the bards college quests, as they were relatively shory and you didn't really be a bard. You were more or mercenary or servant going to fetch the items for everyone. The prt where you re-wrote the poem was fun though.

I agree. I was actually really hopeful when it was announced a Bards College.
