I just got the sub quests for Patena's flute, i already had her flute from going in the cave already but she won't respond that i have it, i went back to the cave to see if that will finish it but it didn't it stills says to find it, what gives.

If you are on the pc you can just type this into the console to drop it

drop 000DABA7 1

and then pick it up again which will make the quest update.

Its a bug. There are other Bard's college quest items that you can get that will stay in your inventory even after you give the item to the questgiver.
As far as I know, it is only fixable on PC. Luckily, the items have no real weight even though they say they do.


Edit: Hey this is just a guess, but there are at least two quests that take all your items away and then gives them back after you complete it. (One is the Pelagius Pelvis quest and the other is the main quest at the Thalmor compoud). No guarentee, but it is possible that the Bard's quest will update when you get your items back. It is also possible that it will not be taken because it is a quest item.

but i havn't givent it to her yet, the quest still tells me to find it, why can't they fix all these bugs

There is also the one with the Forsworn too, where you go to the prision. but that was done already before i got the flute

Now i got a new glitch from the Bards sides quests, for Bjorn drum, the puzzle in the ruins won't turn (activate)

Patch notes say this was fixed, is it not?
