Bards have to few songs to sing.

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:42 pm

I always though that the bards had too few songs to sing. So i wrote a couple more i thought might be acceptable.

Summer comes

The winter was long
And froze all our bones
But we remained strong
Holing up in our homes

Now summer has finally come
The flowers begin to come out
Now that our fingers aren't numb
the grass has begun to sprout

The next winter be far away
Should the Divines permit
Mara, Akatosh and Arkay
Please keep the sky lit

Ice wraiths

What scary things those ice wraiths are,
Nipping you with cold,
But that should not affect you,
If your a nord who's bold

Grab your ax and your shield
Fill yourself with zeal
Run onto the battlefield
Kill the frosty eels!

Mead halls

Nothing beats a mead hall
with a fire roaring
Once u drink four pints of ale
It will not get boring

Have a fight with your fists
Knock a few teeth out
punch them in the gut
Hear their wounded shout!

Work at it. That's what each one of us did. When I asked if someone could do up mannequins in Oblivion that were based on the various races instead of wood, etc, nobody responded--so I learned how to do what I wanted. Got some help, too.

More songs would be nice also a name change of the MQ song "a tale of tongues"is fitting but a rather dumb name.

Don't quit your day job :P naw I could just be putting different melody in my head then how you'd sing it.

I did think the bard songs were lacking. There's what 4 songs?

umm but each bard can only perform 2 of them, you run through entertainment in a tavern pretty quickly

I know, and there's only 4 songs total (not counting instrumentals) so I agree more songs would be a plus.

1. Age of Aggression
2. Age of Oppression
3. The Dragonborn Comes
4. Ragnar The Red

I like all four of them but with two of them being pretty close to the same song it isn't much diversity now is there :D

Very good.

IMO, the voice actors were'nt very good singers as bards. The whole time I was reading your songs (which btw I would love to see added), I was reading them with a random tune, and in the voice of the guy who played the jarl of whiterun/ every other random nord. Kinda funny.

They also added in a song for beating alduin too. I dont think it was in the base game, I think it came w/ a patch. Look into it though, Im not sure.

So do all these songs follow the tone and tune of "ragnar the red" because the lyrics are fantastic but im struggling to make out how they should be sung.

I visit taverns so little that I don't notice. I think the few that have are fine.

Though I wouldn't mind more.
