Battle of Whiterun (Stormcloaks quest) Glitch. Still Unsolve

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 10:09 am

Sup guys. My last post never got replied too, but I might as well keep spamming my issue here till people pull their heads out of their asses.

Last time on Skyrim bug problems. All almost seemed perfect in the land of Skyrim until I joined the Storm Cloaks and fought against Castle Whiterun. The advocacy seemed bent on defending Skyrim's seamlessly perfect reputation by ignoring the previous post that restates all the information of the bug that nobody went to confirm. Skyrim still face's the obstacle of people dissing it from being buggy. Will the advocacy actually help this case? Find out on the next incredible episode of Bethesda Forums.

Bug Description: During the battle of Whiterun (2nd Quest involving the storm cloaks) this bug only happens in the general perimeter of the battle taking place. (That means the area of where the battle is.) My the screen starts flickering and I found that while in third person, my character starts displaying swimming animations. As if it decides to take a dip in a split second lake that occurs every 3 or 5 seconds while outside of the castle. This causes massive FPS drops, stamina drains (As if there was water there), and throws off the whole mood of the battle itself. After getting inside the bug quits and after the battle is won, the FPS rates return to a normal pace.

Reward for solving and fixing the bug: The overall game may get a 5% performance and stability boost if this issue can be corrected. Skyrim and most of Bethesda games operate like a web of entities and scripts. If parts of this web has some problems, it's likely to make the rest of the game suffer. Now, I'm no expert at how the game runs, but I think it's in the best interest to get a hotfix or patch that addresses and fixes this to keep Skyrim Lovers from hearing my little pleas of "Help, a bug" under control.

Failure to do so: Well, I still think you game wont be perfect as all the hype that surrounded it, if it still has bugs, I'm going to keep complaining and reporting my findings. If you don't like it, well tough [censored]. [censored]'s gotta get fixed or I get nothing done.

And since this forum is managed by volunteers. I would advise the Bethesda staff over at headquarters to try to keep tabs here and work harder at what they do. Hell, they could update most of their older games and fix a lot of things if they just put some hard work into it. You did well Bethesda, I see no reason to quit or be lazy if I was a company like you.

PS: As for my last post, I have mentioned it in great detail that nothing was wrong, I even called Bethesda's tech hotlines and talked with some people, I can confirm that the main quest doesn't impact this completed and not. This glitch is still present. I've tried everything in my power to prevent it from happening. But no matter what I've tried, nothing seems to work, I advise that others try to confirm it. And give me the details of your operating system and hardware. I just want this bug gone...
