Battle with a Hagraven and Witches.

I was off questing when I reached a den of witches and a powerful Hagraven. I am an archer and I have Lydia to come along with me. We take a few hits from 2 witches as they rush us with there firebolts and lightning spells, we quickly disperse of these foul monsters when from atop I hear an incoming projectile, a more powerful spell is heading in our direction. We spot a Hagraven casting immensive fireballs at us from atop a Giant rock pinnacle where it had the upper advantage. As I tryed to flank it's position Lydia had gotten into a fight with yet another witch. As I proceeded towards the Hagraven I encountered the last witch in my path to the beast. She was rushing me with Lightning Bolts but my evasive maneuvers had been too much for her and she took an arrow to the head. As Lydia finished off her foe, we simultaneously reached the top of the rock where the Hagraven was located. The real battle had begun. My first reaction was to tip my arrows in magic diminishing poisons, to my demise it was working. Lydia was beside me with her newly equiped Longbow and Steel Arrows, but as the battle commenced Lydia had been the target of destruction. She fell to her knees and at the point I made my victorious move. I rushed in and while dodging fireballs running across a broken down tree that connected to the beasts location, I unleashed a shout that staggered it. I pulled out a rather deadly battle axe and slashed the Hagraven until it sumbitted, and with one last swing, the Hagraven took a lethal blow to the skull. After a triumphet victory, i retreived the dagger I was sent to obtain.

I play on Master. I wouldn't mind hearing other, rather interesting battles.

I was pretty scared the first time I encountered a Hagraven, though I no longer feel them the toughest enemy or the one I hate. However I was pretty low level and I had rushed into a witch encampment (I was a warrior after all, full plate with a sword and board) and they were no problem for me. Out of the blue though I get hit by a large fireball that did so much damage to me that... Well let's say I needed to changed my loins after that fight. However after working my way up the steep ramp leading the Hagraven nest I finally made confronted the foul beast face to face and her melee skills were no match for me.

Hagravens when you first encounter them are fearsome foes. They are very powerful when you are at a very low level and you need to be fleet footed to dodge their spells. When I first fought one I used sparks to drain their magic and it took what seemed like forever and I hide behind a wall and I kept coming out getting a few cheap shots and then I would hide again.

Pretty cool

On my mage build I was fighting an ancient dragon on the roof of the college of Winterhold. I kept striking the beast with my lightning until it dive bombed and crashed onto the beach of the Ghost Sea. I jumped off the cliff into the waters below, and began to do battle with the dragon on the icebergs. There was a storm moving in so vision was low. The battle proceeded to last for another five minutes before I struck the dragon dead with my electricity.

That was easily the epic-est battle I've had so far.

That Hagraven at Orphan Rock (quest-related) is crazy! Especially when she's range-shooting you with fireballs from above.
None of my characters killed her before dying about five times themselves.

I died 7 times and used 20+ potions/poisons combined, and you mentioned the location.

Dragon battles are always my most epic fights.

My tale is a sad one. I was clearing out a fort of mages with meeko, and had encountered a particularly powerful one . He had me pinned down behind a corner. I suddenly look around and notices that Meeko ist around any-more. I carefully peak around the corner and sees the most awesome sight. Meeko is on the other end of the room, fighting the mage! I quickly make my way there, but hesitate to attack. A smile covers my face as i instead let meeko kill him, while keeping him fresh with a spell :)

But fate made a turn. Deeper in we encounter heavy resistance in a hallway. I am forced to temporary retreat, but meeko pulls of charge. While i recovered in another room they killed him. The bastards did not stop there thou! They actually reanimated meeko against me! I returned the favour and reanimated a nearby corpse to help me. My enemy was still to strong, and i was forced to bugger out.

RIP. You will be remembered :violin:

I once used up all my health potions (about 30-ish) and had to sell all my skill potions/poisons and any more expensive things to buy new ones.

the hags can be hard to kill from a distance, but when you get close enough you can kill them with ease, they are slow as hell.

lmao, imagine if hags were REALLY REALLY fast, that would give me nightmares. seriously the hags should have been fast, you should [censored] your pants if you saw one charging at you
