beautiful irony

like the title says, what are some very ironic things that you think would be a good edition to fallout, while not being TOO unfitting?

my personal idea is to roam the wastes and hear on the radio "what a wonderful world" by louis armstrong armstrong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqOwLwhHUqo :goodjob:

EDIT: i acidentally copy and pasted the wrong video lol.. now you can be lazy and hear the song :goodjob:

I was thinking of that exact same thing 2 days ago. Louis Armstrong already has a history in Fallout too, Kiss To Build a Dream On and whatnot

EDIT: Well not the exact same thing, I was thinking of making a montage with that song as the soundtrack

I'd like to see actual irony and not what most people confuse for it.

Not that I'd recognize it. I failed literature classes in high school. Or barely scraqed by. :P

I was going to point out that by the definition that isn't irony....but then the non-definition form is referenced much more often so it's basically recognized as irony even if it isn't....so what's the point

The very character, Benny who shoots you in the beginning of the game, being the one character who is unkillable in NV.

I don't know about irony, but I would love to see an NPC named Ron Pearlman as a bike rider who is married to Lela and is fighting with his son Jack.

lol you know if that was the case i dont think i would be mad, i think i would just start laughing. well i think this is, when you catch up to benny he is on his knees, tied up, and you repeat what he said to you in the start of the game. an then maybe some robot comes along saves him and takes him to a doctor to get all patched up, then he is on a revenge mission..........

That would be so messed up. A+ for creativity :cookie: I don't like the whole irony thing because of hipsters, or rather one particular hipster I know. I seriously thought about punching him in the face when he was talking about getting an ironic intern (he thought it would be ironic since he doesn't do anything). In the end, I decided to tell him that it wasn't ironic since they already did it on Seinfeld. Much more satisfying.

Hearing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNkXog1spwU. Basically a song about trying to find water in a barren desert. They even think they see a Oasis and stuff it's awesome.

Eh? What's a RonPearlman?

Not irony but everytime I watch LV Jailhouse and Pawn Stars I think it would be awsome to have those both in there. Love to go to both places... maybe Chumlee got turned into a ghoul and is still living and running the shop! That would be awsome!

Ron Perlman is the announcer for the Fallout series, known for his iconic line, "War never changes"

And I modded in "Wonderful world" to GNR. I even bought the MP3 on Amazon MP3 to do it, it was only a buck.

Something Ironic would be this:

*Spoilers*
That Benny is acting all tough before he shoots you in the head, like he is an invincible man. Then you go into his headquarters, kill his goons, and have him at gunpoint with him saying: "Oh s*** you're still alive??! Oh please, the shot to your face, I Didn't mean it!"

Some people are trying to post Easter eggs in this thread, cause it's too hard to google and understand what irony actually means..

Shooting Benny twice in the skull. (I wont do this, but I'm sure it will be done by others)

Bonus points if you use the same model gun.
