It's about time we showed this generation of young'uns what real idiotic tv is all about.

What do you think of this?

They now have more than just music videos to make fun of: Reality TV...

Kinda funny coming from MTV.

I used to love Beavis and Butthead, but in this case I have to say leave them where they are... in the past. Trying to recreate what was funny way back when doesn't always work out very well, I fear this won't be any different.

I respect your opinion but, have you seen the trailers? It looks almost identical to the way it was before, except they are making fun of Reality TV shows instead of music videos. I think its going to be great, and I think you should at least watch the first episode before you pass judgement.

That's part of it right there, almost identical. Trying to recreate what once was great, tends to backfire. Best to leave well enough alone, but like George Lucas and his Star Wars, it's Mike Judge and his Beavis and Butthead. If he wants to try to re create the magic of yesteryear, then that's his right. I hope it succeeds, but my observations in the past have shown me it doesn't always work out that way.

I agree, it doesn't always, but it can. My first opinion from watching the trailers though, was that it was great. I guess we just have to wait until it comes back on though, but my innitial opinion is that it looks great. Could be wrong, I suppose.

Ehh, Mike Judge is still doing it, so I'm interested. Since they are not rehashing old bits, but instead of focusing on new targets, I am game.
I would swear that some of the scenes in the link were used in Beavis and Butthead do America.

Now, these latest Hollywood redos of movies like Footloose, the Three Musketeers, Red Dawn, etc, are getting annoying. As much as that industry makes, one would think some ingenuity would be used.

Ingenuity isn't safe though. Blame the economy, blame the industry, blame whatever, but nobody wants to take risks anymore.

A buddy of mine and I are gonna be getting together to watch the "first" episode. We were both big fans back in the day... Let's see if it holds up.

Maybe I'm just too old, too clean, and too sober for this anymore. When I still drank and did other...stuff, I though this was a laugh riot, but now, I just don't get it. TBH I can't even watch the originals much anymore, I'd rather be watching King of the Hill instead.

This is stupid. I feel like Beavis and Butthead just aren't the same without the 90s!

Fire, fire!

Hope they can pull it off, naturally it won't be the same show, but it might be something worthwhile.
