Becoming a werewolf from a bite?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:15 pm

Simple yes or no answer, I sat there letting a werewolf hit me for ages because I didn't want to join the companions and didn't get infected. Is it possible or is the companions the only way?

No, but I believe it's also possible if you complete hircine's daedric quest a particular way

Spoiler
Instead of hunting the werewolf, help the werewolf to hunt the hunters

Boy that is lame, why is being a vampire not linked to a quest but being a werewolf is? =(

That's not true. Playing the quest this way will get the ring uncursed, but for the uncursed ring to be useful you need already be a werewolf. However if you start the Hircine quest and never finish it you'll have the cursed ring which supposedly will randomly change you into a werewolf. Never tested it, though as I just played the quest and never shapeshifted during it. Also a big drawback would be you're not able to wear any other rings.

Ok, so still NOT POSSIBLE? I don't really like The Companions. Would be so much better to RP if you get the Disease through a bite and not willingly.

It didn't even give me the ring uncursed. It took it out of my inventory after the quest was over and I was looking forward to it. I thought it was because I wasn't a werewolf yet. I went back to a previous save so I could do the quest after I am a werewolf and see if the bug goes away.
