Bed shaking

Post » Wed Jun 22, 2011 3:20 pm

So this morning right before I got up, I could feel my bed shaking for like ten-fifteen minutes, and I remembered that this has happened before a few times, though not very often. Anyway it's a slight shaking but you could definitely feel it. First I thought it might be a small earth quake, but strange thing is that I have a glass cabinet right outside my door, and if only so much as my cat walking by it the glasses start clanging very loudly against each other. but it was silent and nothing else seemed to be moving or making noise so I assume it was only my bed. There are no roads or railways outside my house either, you have to walk a bit till you get to the street, and I heard no cars outside my house.

So what could this be? Could it be something with the bed itself? Has anyone else experienced this? I just hope I'm not going crazy here :P

And before anyone asks, yes I was definitely awake, and no I don't believe it was anything paranormal.

Oh, and it's just a regular small bed, not one of those with electronics and remote and stuff.

Dude, you're haunted. :P

I would suspect its bed related. How old is your bed/frame?

A few years. And I forgot to mention that I don't have a bed frame either. But you're probably right. I too think it must be something with my bed.

Here's the main focus of Paranormal Activity 3.

I have had my bed rock back and forth before, and I've also had something scratching the underside of my pillow. On both occasions, I was too tired to care.

Is your bed close to any major appliances? The vibrations from a compressor or water running through loose pipes could be enough to shake the bed a little, the shear mass of the bed would be able to absorb the vibrations enough that you wouldn't notice them somewhere else in the same room. If this is not the case then I would assume demonic possession.

That's must be it. I do have my bed right against the wall to the neighbors (I live in a row house), so maybe they were running water or something.

The furniture in my room shakes when I walk on a certain dodgy floorboard.

Is the cat trying to freak you out?

I say that we take all of these theories and combine them. The cause of your bed shaking is invisible ghosts having six with a running compressor. It's the only logical cause.

Siged

If you don't mind copying the entire quote so that people who look can know who said it, I would be grateful. Assuming that anybody actually cares what I have to say that is. Like Gamegee.

It's nice to be sigged.
