We may have all gone our separate ways years ago but I think I speak for them all when I say, "Thank you!" to Feargus and Chris. It's been such a long time since we had a really deep, well written game worth getting excited about. Lots of people have been mentioning the hardcoe Mode and changes to things like the Repair skill, but my biggest gripe with the last game was the lack of a proper Fallout ending. I'm glad that was addressed. You guys have still got it and I'll love you forever for giving us another video game worth forming a fanatical forum community around.

I wonder how many people here remember (or even ever learned about) the Villagers of lore.

It was a wonderful time in video games, when development teams were small and forum communities had a direct line of communication with them. I'd say that a good portion of the improvements on the original game that made their way into Fallout 2 were a direct result of our conversations with the team. As for the history of the UV I could go into great detail but most of it is probably not interesting to anyone at all. :V
