OK, so I have 2 quests now that seem to be impossible to finish because the people I have to report back to (Ahta & Scouts-Many-Marshes) are behind locked doors when I go to meet them, Of course, if I break in they aren't willing to converse, telling me "I shouldn't be there" and to "get out." Is there anything I can do - as I don't have my X-box 360 hooked up to the internet, so I cannot get undates?

Also: What happens to my house & stuff in Whiterun during the civil war? I am assuming that it will be fine and available once we retake the city. Is that right?

Wait until daytime. It sounds like you're arriving after dark and they've gone home to sleep.

Have you tried waiting at the door for an hour at a time untill they make an appearance? it worked for me.

Yup, they didn't make an appearance, and I tried several times.

Also, I arrived during the daytime, so there is that.
