I'm just going to point something out. If you kill everyone you meet, you won't be able to complete the game except one way.

Nah.

When I decide to play as an "evil" character I'll design him differently.
I won't steal stuff just to earn bad karma points.
If I'm going to be evil then there's going to be a reason for it and a motive for doing said bad things.

I prefer a more pyschological approach to evil. I'd rather convice some one to do it for me.

My most evil characters were always just those that simply killed for the highest bidder... or total psychopaths.

How about being cocky, cheeky, greedy and in the end choosing the Caesar's Legion? :turned:

That pretty much describes my character on my first playthrough. Somehow she had pretty good Karma over all. ::shrugs::.

I think a truly evil person would would be someone that wouldn't kill someone unless they couldn't force someone else to do it and would also be intellectual enough to do just enough to be able to stand back and watch the world destroy itself. Like Joker evil.

You don't have to kill someone to be Evil. Just make their lives a living hell.

You should do a Hannibal Lecter char - only kill (and eat, obvs) the very rude, stupid and/or uncivilised.

My 'evil' run I still eneded up with a high karma... That is even eating every person I killed (I do that in all my runs though -_- ).

Oddly enough my current run (trying to be a trader/prospector) has the lowest karma I have yet to get... even though I always do nice things. It does not help though that he is a klepto that takes everything not nailed down...

That clipboard is a cap... you telling me you would not pick up a cap laying on the table... huh? huh? >.>

I'd image he'd get on with hannibal rather well though.

I'm not sure, I reckon [censored] and pillaging is pretty rude lol Lots of NCR people would have to go, but a few would be ok, I think (that top brass at Hoover Dam would definitely be lunchmeat though!). I think the majority of the Kings would be safe, and the Followers too. Hmmm... Can't I keep Veronica too? She's alright :)

[Edit] Didn't think that word would be censored. I'm sure you can guess what it is though.

Well House don't seem to mind a bunch of former cannibals running a casino so I'm sure he and Hannibal would have a nice bro-mance.

The Joker in The Dark Knight is the extreme example of what a psychopath is: someone who essentially feels no empathy or remorse. That's my guidebook for the psychopath playthrough. You play as a person that doesn't abide by any rules whatsoever. Someone who's only concern is the fulfillment of their own goals with emphasis on the ends justifying the means.

I believe the trope for that is Chaotic Evil.

A sure act of evil in that game is taking Rose of Sharon Cassidy to Jean Baptiste.

Blowing up the BoS bunker is evil as well, even though they can be jerks. It's particularly evil if you use them for your own gain and then turn against the BoS.

That's how I play evil. My evil characters don't just arbitrarily massacre everyone, they kill who it's in their self interest to kill and don't care about it. If it suits their purpose to help someone they do, but they'd just as easily kill them if that served their interest more.

I wish they'd sort out the karma system though. My evil characters end up with high karma every time. E.g. kill that Holmes fella to steal his star caps, which s pretty evil - no karma loss. Kill a fiend who's trying to kill you anyway so you really have no choice - karma boost.

I think you should have to work to get good karma - like turning down rewards, being consciously selfless.

I always play an evil character it's much more fun. For example having the travelling merchant repair all your items then buy a few things, then once they continue walking blow their brains out and loot your money and take their items.
