Best armor vs. Cool armor

After seeing this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uYsnoUvv8Q&list=PL96F8F373BAA0849F&feature=plcp

I really liked the lone dark brotherhood guy's armor. After receiving it in game, it's not as good as other armor you can upgrade. I was wearing dragonscale or daedric armor but love the look of the Nightengale armor. I lost so much in armor rating but the Nightengale armor is better looking. I'm so high a level anyways I'm going to go with it but might have to use more health potions. I also hate how some of it is not double enchanted. To bad you can't find other non enchanted nightengale armor anywhere in stores.

I have never used the duplicate glitch, but from what I understand the Armor's don't have enchantment's on them when you get the "copy". I'm not sure if that's only for item's you enchant or game enchanted armor also. Maybe someone else had the answer to that.

When you duplicate armor, the clone will have the armor's original stats. If the armor was unenchanted at first, that what you get. If enchanted at first, that what you get.

And personally, I love Daedric Armor. I think it's the coolest armor in Skyrim.

I always go for how armor looks over how much it protects me. It isn't really necessary to have the best equipment possible in this game.

Coolest looking and Best for a guy: Daedric or Guildmaster

Coolest looking for a chick: Falmer, Nightingale or Forsworn (DB is OK, but the hood kinda' throws the look off.)
Best for a chick: Falmer or Dragonscale

My choices are based on the ability to improve them via Smithing because I will go for protection over appearnce if I weren't able to improve the Forsworn or other leather-based armors.

Best Armour: Daedric

Coolest looking: Legion, heavy variant, with the Roman style helmet. (The common one)

I set my difficulty to Novice so I can use Legion armour and weapons at high levels.

Coolest looking: Steel plate

Best: Daedric or Dragonplate

By default, Daedric is better than dragonplate.

My latest character is heavy armor guy but today I've been playing without wearing anything. It's perfectly alright not to wear anything unless you get hit, I realized. It takes no time to put it on when you need it.

like.. what? you can use this armor even at adept on high lvl... only on master it's getting tough. i currently play with normal completely unsmithed armor on adept. lvl 50.

I think the Elven and Glass look good (the Glass is fine as hell, actually), but just not best. I'm not a huge fan of the wingy/feathery look of Elven stuff.

The Elven would be fine if it wasn't the staple armor worn by the Thalmor. In 3rd person you look like someone you want to kill. To me, that's a major fail on the part of Bethesda. TG and Master TG are really cool looking sets, but the rest are either meh, or downright ugly. I liked the DB armor at first but then it began to look more and more like a wetsuit to me. Compare the looks of the light armor group to that of the heavy armor; it's not even close.

Iron and Steel both look tough and rugged. Steel plate looks cool too. Orcish armor is intimidating in appearance and it's a great transition between steel plate and ebony. Ebony is awesome looking although on some characters it makes them look kind of fat and barrel-like. Daedric's wicked looking--a little over the top but still cool. Dragonplate though, that's flat out lame in appearance. You look like an angry hornytoad. Same with dragonscale; just a smaller, irate hornytoad.

As for Imperial and Stormcloak. If it were a real-life choice I'd join the Legion just so I wouldn't have to wear those blue burlap looking sacks that pass for Stormcloak armor.

The Ebony stuff is beautiful, but the helms are a little narrowish and throw the look off. :P

I'm kinda partial to the Steel plate and Iron armor's. Though my favorite heavy armor is the Blades armor for look's.

Most of my character's have been light armor and I can't seem to get them past studded or the fur armor's.

So I guess you could say I go for look's over protection. especially on my light armor char's.

Yeah. I noticed there was something a little off about the look and that's it. No way an Orc's head would fit into one of those helms.

I used the Studded Imperial Armor (complete set) for the longest time. It fits my character's style--sneaky, archer, one-handed. I'm very hesitant to use other armor, even if has better stats, because of the look. The Thieves Guild armor is OK, but I'm really going for a minimalist, non flashy look.

I do like the Nightingale Armor. It looks very cool...very Dark Knight/Batman. My favorite for looks and the one I use the most is Ebony armor. Ebony mail to be exact. It can't quite match the armor class of the Daedric or Dragon plate but it's a bit lighter though.

Daedric armor looks the best in Skyrim, with ebony as a close second and then probably glass. Although the nightingale one does look good, but not as much armor rating :(

Looks, definitely. My Dunmer got some Glass for himself and Ebony for Kharjo. Daedric and Dragonplate stuff (Dragonscale is alright) looks just very unfitting on either of them.
