Best Dunmer Armour

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 3:11 pm

I want to equip my new character in Morrowind-style gear. What do you reckon is the best Morrowind (chitin, bonemold) looking armour etc...?

Glass armor on a dunmer might look pretty good and fit your requirements.

dragon - scale more than bone, though the bone looks decent as well.

They're both a bit overly grey, but that should look fine on a sufficiently contrasting dunmer.

Of course there's always daedric, which fits with their lore - but I find daedric to be somewhat garish and tasteless.

My favourite game is Morrowind, and I've been enjoying Skyrim so much I decided to mod myself some Chitin Armour - which my character can craft out of Chaurus Chitin and leather at a forge. Mmmm, black Chitin Armour...
My very first full set of gear playing Morrowind was Chitin, and I ended up loving it for reasons of nostalgia and because it was so unique, so no armour says Dunmer to me more than Chitin.

Exactly! I want to craft armour out of mud crabs and chaurus. Who needs metal when you have bugs?

The book, Ice and Chitin, is also set in Skyrim, so there's no reason I can think of why there shouldn't be Chitin Armour in Skyrim. They have the materials, the Smiths and the forges.
You could also wear Dragonbone and think of it as Bonemold.

This is a very cool idea to use the chorua chitin for black chitin armor.

I know the falmer armor is technically the same thing, but i really dont even think the player should be able to wear armor meant for hunchback-shrimp-blindy elves.

Anyways- morrowind style chitin armor that is the color of the choruses? Very cool.
