Beef Stew is what I use for my two-handed destroyer. Garlic, salt pile, raw beef and tomato, I think.

I use Beef Stew, Vegetable Soup, and Venison Stew for health and stamina regen. I come across more venison than raw beef, so I tend to have more of it. Also, any of the cabbage based stews are good health and stamina 'padding'. My Nord can't pass up a wheel of cheese. I love horking down a couple wheels during battle. It may not be the most realistic thing to do, but I think it's funny, so I do it.

Apple Cabbage Stew is useful as a substitute for healing/stamina potions at low levels. Save the potiions you find for when you're badly hurt

Beef Stew is the best for stamina regeneration but does nothing for health
Horker Stew gives you a little stamina and health immediately but only helps health regeneration

Vegetable Soup and Venision Stew both help health and stamina regeneration so I'd say they are the best 2. Vegetable Soup is the easiest to find the ingredients (cabbage, leek, potato, tomato) for so its what I use most

Eeyup. Generally all things that increase health, stamina and their regen is your best bet.

i like vegetable soup, because of the already named reasons. the beef stew could be great for someone who uses tons of stamina, like someone going double 1hand.

I played a warrior who made a lot of food and didn't do alchemy. At some point, you make enough money to afford potions, and get strong enough to not need them so often. At some point, you stop buying potions either, because you have enough from random loot. For me that level was somewhere around 25, I think.

Every night my Nord will relax in a tavern/breezehome/Jorvasker with a bottle of mead and some meat, sometimes he will throw in some cheese, bread, or a potato.

I do it more for roleplaying purposes than the bonuses from eating/drinking

If Popeye has taught us anything it is that spinach is the ultimate pre-combat food for warriors.

My current mage is vegetarian, so if she cooks, it'll usually be vegetable stew. It's the only vege item that regenerates a very small amount of extra health. She'll usually then eat it before going into a dungeon that she knows is gonna have some extensive battle-rates.

good idea as it also saves on restoration spells. I wish I'd done this with my Nord as I gave him restoration magic as support. I could have saved on spending points on magica and put them into health and stamina instead. But then I suppose the restoration magics gave me a purpose for joining and eventually heading the mages guild. My Nord is Oblivion was also a warrior with restoration magic to suport. I've noticed on Skyrim this format is now geared towards being an Imperial. Perhaps I should have been an Imperial. Nords are so cool though.

The Stews for Health & Stamina are all useful. But after a certain level you dont really need them tbh.

They are nice from a RP pov i guess.
