I have been using el dorado gas station that is just south of 188 trading post. It is pretty close to the center of the map, has beds ouside and decent storage inside. Also has a campfire right outside. The only downside is that the beds are outside for those of you who would not like that, and there are no water sources at all near by for those playing hardcoe.

I have considered killing all the NCR in the Helious powerplant to the west of el dorado but my guy is trying to stay neutral right now, and I really do not want to * off the NCR

What do you guys think? THis place seems solid.

However, I do have a question for those who have played longer than me. In Fallout 3, I made the national gaurd depot my safehouse. I unlocked the basemant and decorated it with everything I could find in the wastes. Is there any place that is comparable to that in New Vegas? As far as loading screens go, I do not mind the number. I would use the ones on the strip but that does not go with my guys style though.

EDIT: another off the wall question. I just joined here, and I have never seen this on any other forum. On the side of my post, it has a bar that says "Warn Status 0%" What is that?

I'm new here as well, but I got an email from one of the moderators that scolded me for trying to use my own censoring for profanity (basically cheating their profanity filter by putting a period in the middle of a cuss-word), saying "We can see that you are new here and most people just skip the forum rules, but if you do something like this in the future, your warning level will go up". Or something to that effect. Basically, if you offend the mods, you can get a warning level that probably limits how many posts you can have, or if you're offensive enough, probably get you banned.

Just use common sense for the whole "warning level" thing, and also another good place is near the Brotherhood of steel in the bunker the Ranger is in, another good place is Tabithas whole setup building area

Tabithas? The name does not ring any bells. Where is it on the map roughly?

It's called Black Mountain. It's near the deathclaw quarry a bit east across the road.

The warn level is crazy, I've had the same level of warning for like a year or something, any way you can get some one to decrease that crap if you've been a good boy?
