right now I'm using a glass sword (legendary) and a blades sword (legendary). is there a better one handed sword I should have, which is the best in the game?

daedra weapons are the best in the game by far..and number 2 is ebony

best sword overall is chillrend (yes its a bit better than deadric). only when gotten after lvl 50 tough. looks like glass one with slightly different texture.

I wasn't sure, thanks. now I just need to find a daedra sword somewhere, any ideas?

LOL no its not by a long shot..it can only be improved to flawless and daedra can be to legendary and will do 40% more damage

daedric swords are the best swords in the game.. craftable gear is always better than what you find

Dont use them myself but I have made a Daedric Sword with Paralyze and Legendary. My friend used Dragonbane (legendary) and was using Dawnbreaker. Think the Daedric still more damage but you need the smithing perks and Daedric Hearts to make it. You may be able to make it Via the College quests as well cant recall.

No longer matters. With Alchemy/Enchanting it's possible to buff the smiting/weapon skills so high all swords one-hit kill everything.

Dawnbreaker is the coolest looking IMO.

As for the question of where to get a Daedric sword, they're random treasure drops -- essentially, get above level 48, and you'll start finding Daedric stuff everywhere. Before level 46 I had never seen a single Daedric item.

Daedric upgraded to Legendary is the best. Anybody who disagrees or claims otherwise has no idea.

Well, while I do agree Daedric is the "best" it does require 5 perks to do so, and any smith buffs can make any blade just as effective without (later) pointless smith perks. Also the above is wrong, as chillrend can be made legendary.

I use chillrend and the nightingale blade together often. 2 smith perks (steel --> arcane) get them to legendary and then the difference in "attack" power is just extra numbers.

Correct. Also I'm pretty sure that you can make stronger enchantments than anything found in-game.
