Best Surprise and Biggest Dissapointment

Thought I'd make a thread to talk about what surprised us about Dragonborn and what let us down. I'll kick things off.

The best surprise of Dragonborn for me thus far has been the perk reset. I know it is a polarizing feature and it could probably be severely abused, but I love having it and it has really made the game feel "whole" for me. Now instead of constantly fretting over perk trees on my mobile device, I can do it WHILE playing the game. Perfect.

Biggest disappointment in DB would have to be the armor sets. I was never really interested in the Bonemold or Chitin armors, and sadly I find them to be the sweetest of the new armors. Carved Nordic armor looks pretty good, but it is so bulky and your two handed weapons clip through the armor when they rest on your back :( I wish they would've made the Carved nordic, powerful but sleek, like the Nordic weapons (which are awesome btw). I thought Stahlrim would save the day for me, but it just looks stupid in my opinion. Don't get me started on Miraak's gear either...

All in all, I'm having a lot of fun with Dragonborn. It has given me more of a reason to romp around Skyrim and that is always a plus in my book.

edit: Just realized I spelled "disappointment" wrong in the thread title. Epic fail lol.

I was thoroughly surprised at the quality of the writing this time around. Neloth is an instant fan favorite and the quest where you explore a dwemer ruin with him really tells you how far Bethesda has come with the storytelling. Also OMG MORROWIND MUSIC OMGOMGOMG.

Biggest disappointment was, you guessed it, the Dragon Mounts. They were literally one feature away from being cool. I could get around the lack of direct control if you could fast travel IN GAME rather than through loading screens. Werebears and spears are just expert lvl trolling from Beth as far as I'm concerned.
