Best way to level a vampire Mage?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:26 pm

He is going to get the necromage perk in restoration.. And focus on destruction, conjuration and illusion. However, I am having trouble leveling him and making enough money to get by on him.. In particular restoration and destruction are really tedious.. So my question is, does anyone have any tips to expedite the process?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Join the dark brotherhood. Shadowmere is practically invincible, and you can train on him (or on occupants in one of the sanctuary's upgrades). That should help with the money situation as well.

He has very high health and can soak hits from pretty much anything overland for a disturbingly long time. I've lost track of him and found him standing toe-to-toe with frost trolls and dragons before. I've seen high level briarhearts and ravagers whaling on him, but I try to get those off quickly. He's by no means squishy.

He also has a high heal rate, and he may be fairly resistant to fire.

Mages, at least on master, need enchanting to do much of anything. 100% destro/resto reduction set, fire damage left had, healing hands right. Face shadowmere, hold down both mouse buttons, go afk for awhile.

Restoration "as quickly as possible"? Look through the wikis on restoration. Some of the really good ones need higher level spells, but the above is pretty fast.

money wise the thieves and DB are a good choice and a natural choice for a sneaky vampire and they pay relative welll
For your restoration question if you can get to labyrintha you can find a spell book called equilabrium ( sp)
cast that in your ledt hand while casting healing in the other , in less than a hour you probaly raised both by 20 points
, other than that ,casting wards and healing spells whenever you can helps aswell
