Dear Obsidian,

18 hours into what was a wonderful adventure through the wasteland and about to finish helping those poor ghouls fly to the moon I die and my load screen freezes. After restarting my system I find that I am unable to load any of my save files and that sadly my adventure was over. What is there left o say to you but bravo. Bravo for getting the opportunity to make this game, to make tons of money off of it while supplying a quite inferior product. You might have leaped over Bethesda's fallout 3 had you not been so careless while making this game. I know nothing of programming, but I have played games my whole life and never have I encountered anything such as what you present with this game in terms of "Bugs". I am quite frustrated. Sure fallout fans new there'd be bugs, but game crashing bugs? Game ending bugs? Am I supposed to take more time out of my life to play your broken game? No instead I have to waste it writing on your forum.

To all the reviewers out their who reviewed this game....are you out of your mind??? Quests which can't be completed, horrible load times, skipping, game freezes and all save files unable to be loaded. This is an incomplete game sold for SIXTY U.S DOLLARS!!!! Sure the content is great, but if you can't play it why should you even give a 1 out of 10, did you get special copies??? This is solid proof these people don't even play the entirety of these games. How can they and not encounter these problems? Maybe they just didn't want to tell us your saved files can be corrupted. If there were a razzies for video games FNV would take the top spot of worst game this year and we are close to years end, you must have known you were going to be up for a reward.

How many save files do I need to create in order to make sure that I can restart my game once it crashes? You tell me since your the experts, should I use all 100 save files?

Why can't I buy things from the merchant in the mojave outpost without my game freezing?
Why does my companion get stuck in rocks?
Why does the loading screen freeze when I do or fast travel?
Why is it I can't load my saves?

I'm not sure why people expected differently. Alpha Protocol was also buggy and messed up, and the studio has had internal problems with regards to developing games (see: Alpha Protocol). My guess is they rushed New Vegas and decided to let fans do the beta testing for them, since its obvious the game is totally broken and should never have been released with all these issues. It is a shame that Obsidian is a garbage developer now.

I've been monitoring these forums closely since I lost my character to corrupt saves yesterday (50 hours gone, all three backup saves were messed up as well)

I've seen 6-7 threads with this same issue, and there is no word from the developers about it. No upcoming fix, no potential patch, only the hollow feeling from the coldest of shoulders.

Yeah, I really feel for every budy who has this problem, it's just annoying that you can't finish a game you had high hopes for. As for Alpha protocol i never played it and thank God I didn't. Maybe we aren't hearing anything from them because their hard at work ahhahahahhahaha

if obsidian were to say anything it would be pretty much an admission of guilt on their part and i seriously doubt thats gonna happen..i think at minimum we should get an apology from them but that aint gonna happen either..if i were any of them id be ashamed for releasing the game they did..they have absolutely nothing to be proud of..

Obsidian/Bethesda = a bunch of amateurs.

It's as if this is their first game.

The game engine is 9 years old i believe, this shouldnt be happening.
