Beta 1.5 issue relating smithing perk

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 8:01 pm

Good morning,

After updated at beta 1.5 my Skyrim, I verified all the features that were changed and I noticed that the value for creating a new item at the forge and successively the value for upgrading an armor or weapon are just to high.

Starting a new game I reach Riverwood, and there I helped Alvor a t the forge and for the only creation of a single dagger my smithing ability pumped up from 15 of default to 39... Thing goes similarly when sharpening at the grindstone...

Best Regards

Do you have any crafting mods, maybe an archery one? I believe it conflicts with the new patch and needs to be updated by the modder.

What do you mean by crafting mod? Mods that alter the crafting system or mods that add more items to be crafted at the forge?

Either really to be honest. Disable all, then enable one at a time to find exactly which one.

Also balancing mods that might affect crafting indirectly, i.e. mods that generally alter speed of skill gain.

Ok I'll disable all the mods that add more items to be crafted and mod altering crafting system and see how things work.

One another question please.
Since I crate a new race with an ability which increase the combat learning abilities' speed, it might be possible that can be this either the matter of my smithing problem?
(I always use this race to began new game).

Al right I found out that my own mod run into conflicts with update beta 1.5.

My mod, due to the fact that adds a couple of armor set I decide to make new categories relating to smithing perk tree for those piece of armor, so do you think that could this be the problem?

Issues with the beta should be posted in the beta forum. Hopefully, a moderator will move this thread to the appropriate forum.
